Promising review: "Love the fishnets! Thank you so much. I love how they match my skin color." —Shannon
Get them from Nude Barre on Etsy for $33 (available in sizes XS–XXL, 12 shades).
Promising review: "I have learned not to trust buying so-called 'plus-/queen-size' tights online, as 90% of them are designed for 120 lbs., people and leave me looking like a sausage. But THESE ARE SO COMFORTABLE! None of the squeezing, shuffling, and crotch-tugging of other brands. Plus, they're far more durable than I expected. When I need more colors, I'm definitely buying this brand again!" —R. Lehr
Get them from Amazon for $17.95 (available in sizes A/B–EE, 22 colors)
Promising review: "The color is exactly as shown, a deep espresso brown, which is a nice change from the usual black. The material is very comfortable, and it's a nice fit at the waist without being too tight. I would definitely recommend these leggings." —Koriee
Get them from Walmart for $9 (available in sizes S–XL, three colors).
Promising review: "Wow. Yeah these are probably the most amazing stockings I've ever gotten. I'm 5'6" and about 160 lbs., and they fit like a dream. They look delicate but stretch out and fit like a glove. I adore the attached garters. They make me feel so pretty." —Chiv

Promising review: "I have a drawer full of tights to help get me from October through April in NYC. I’ve run (literally and figuratively) through dozens of brands, but I keep going back to these DKNY opaque control-top tights. They’re reliable, stay up as the good lord intended, opaque but not too opaque, and seem to withstand my ragged manis and fanged ring that’s snagged other pairs.
As a tall-ish person with thick thighs, I love me a pair of control-top tights. Many one-size-fits-most pairs — especially those of the non-fishnet variety — feel like they have a drop crotch as soon as I walk a city block. Neither a good look nor feel. Then you have your control-top variety that’s extremely obvious with a darker control-top area that hits just above the knee. If I want to wear bike shorts or a damn pair of Spanx under my dress, I will! But 99% of the time I do not. The control-top area for this hits just below crotch level, if we want to get anatomical. The tall size fit me perfectly and I buy these en masse out of fear that they’ll stop making them. So if you need a control-top pair that feel a tad structured to wear with your mini dresses, these have your stems covered." —Elizabeth Lilly

Promising review: "Love these tights! They are a vibrant yellow and really shine in the sun. The material is very sturdy and has held up to multiple wears without any tearing or holes. Really excellent quality tights. The large fits me so well, not too tall for this 5'9" girl, and not too tight either. Perfect." —Ariel
Get them from Modcloth for $15 (available in sizes S–L, 8 colors).
Promising review: "When I picked up this pair of gray tights on an impromptu trip to Old Navy three years ago, because I had a gift card and their price was but single digit, I most definitely did not expect them to stay in rotation in my wardrobe for three years (and counting) unscathed. The fabric is a light to medium weight, of medium opacity, and matte — no hint of shine in sight, which is just the way I like it. The control top is snug but not constricting and hasn't stretched out a bit, AND they've yet to get holey even in the toe area, which is usually the first place I tend to see wear in my tights. Old Navy, you done good." —Emmy Favilla
Get them from Old Navy for $6 (available in sizes S/M–L/XL).
Promising review: "These feel better quality than any of the lace tights or fishnets I have owned. I was worried these wouldn't come up high enough to look right or be comfortable, but proportionally, the lace to fishnet transition comes up to the same section of thigh that it does on the model, and I am 5'10/11 with 49" hips. And the top band comes over my hips easily, and fits nicely around my 35-inch waist. I'm very impressed, and I'm glad I bought them. I can also see these still fitting someone up to 5 inches bigger and the same height." —MissScarlett
Get it from Modcloth for $6.97 (available in size plus).
Promising review: "These tights are good quality. They're soft, comfortable, and warm. I ordered the medium size and they fit perfectly. I usually wear a small, but I find that the larger size is more opaque; because if there is more fabric there's less stretching. Hope this helps 😊." —Kayla
Get them from Amazon for $6.50+ (available in sizes S–XXL, three colors).
Promising review: "I love these! I got them the other day in the mail and was so happy! They are a bit thicker than a regular nylon, but not so thick you feel like you are wearing kid's tights. They look very classy on with your dress and I want more. I love that I got two pairs for the price. And with my long nails I have rolled these and thought 'oh no, I am going to rip them,' but I have not." —Phoenixmoon3
Get them from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in sizes XS–XL, nine colors).
Promising review: "Fits amazing! It's perfect, I ordered a L, I'm 5'6",192 pounds, thick thighs, bubble booty, was able to pull up the tights. They didn't rip, material is thick and not cheap. Feels really good. I have so many more outfits I'm going to pair these with. Love it!" —shana
