hannahn43154efe0 commented on We Want To Hear What It Was Like Giving Birth During *All Of This*

I delivered my 2nd child in May. We live in rural Ohio. I had a COVID test several days before my scheduled induction at 39 weeks. Luckily it was negative. My partner was allowed in the room but we were both required to wear masks throughout my labor. My blood pressure dropped after…

hannahn43154efe0 commented on Parents, What Is Something That You Didn't Know About Babies That You Only Learned After You Had One

Breastfeeding is amazing but really hard! I spent my life babysitting and nannying, so I felt like I knew everything about babies. I wasn’t prepared for the work of breastfeeding. Figuring out how to get your baby to latch properly, dealing with sore nipples, massaging clogged milk…

hannahn43154efe0 commented on Tell Us What Your Sex Life Was Like After Having A Kid

Sex felt like 1,000 knives 6 weeks after giving birth. My baby is 6 months now and we are slowly getting back into things and everything is starting to feel normal again. I thought I would feel like myself again much faster, but it takes time. Also, orgasming makes me milk let down,…

hannahn43154efe0 commented on Seven Things That Happened When I Put A Tracking Device On My Kid And My Dog

This reminds me a little bit too much of the Ark Angel episode of black mirror lol. As a mother, I understand wanting to know where you child is at all times. But, honest question, where do we draw the line? This seems at acceptable, but technology is only going to keep advancing.…

hannahn43154efe0 commented on 23 Pictures That Show The Reality Of Living With PCOS

As someone who suffers from PCOS, who needed fertility treatments to conceive my daughter, I have to assume you don’t have children of your own, or that that you take for granted that you were able to. There is no word to describe the pain and yearning one feels when they want to…

hannahn43154efe0 commented on 19 Totally Funny Childbirth Stories That'll Make You Disinvite Your Doctor

You would think, but my water broke at home and I continued to leak fluid throughout my labor and as my daughter came out, fluid sprayed the doctor and my husband. Sometimes the baby prevents it from all exiting at once.

hannahn43154efe0 commented on Moms, Share Your Momsplaining Horror Stories

I was grocery shopping with my 3 month old daughter riding in her car seat in the cart. She was falling asleep and a lady stopped me to tell me she should be napping her crib and lectured me on the developmental harm that can happen if babies don’t have a nap schedule. I am a medical…

hannahn43154efe0 commented on What's The Most Awkward Misunderstanding You Had As A Kid?

I was excited to grow breasts because I thought you could move them around independently like arms. I was excited to have an extra set of appendages one day. You can imagine how disappointed (and embarrassed) I was when my mom told me this wasn’t the case.
