All good TV dramas have a degree of fear and suspense.
But some TV shows — and certain episodes in particular — are especially terrifying.
Like the silent "Hush" episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where The Gentlemen took away everyone's voices.
Or "The Bent-Neck Lady" episode of The Haunting of Hill House, where (SPOILER ALERT) it was revealed that Nell had been haunted by her own ghost her entire life.
Then there was the "Squeeze" episode of The X-Files, where mutant serial killer Tooms contorted his body to get into a bunch of small spaces so he could kill people.
And who can forget the "Fear and Loathing in Beverly Hills" episode of You, where the terrifying suspense came from a ticking clock leading toward Delilah's release and Joe's hallucinations and worry that he'd killed someone.
