17 Times Where An Amazing Movie Or TV Scene Could've Been Made Better With A Different Song

Sorry in advance for all the Marvel.

One of the newest trends on TikTok is adding new music to a movie or television scene. User @jbuckstudios first started it, adding "Cotton Eye Joe" to this scene from It.

People have since stitched the first part of the video to share their own versions of movie and TV scenes with new music, and the results are inspired, hilarious, and sometimes heartbreaking. Here are some of the best!

    1. "Scream and Shout" by will.i.am., and the fake battle scene from Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2:

As the Cullens see Carlisle's dismembered head, they look shocked and run to attack, as the song says "Bring the action! When you hear us in the club, you gotta turn that shit up"

    2. "London Bridge" by Fergie, and the scene from Game of Thrones where Jaime sees Bran in his wheelchair:

"OH SHIT!" starts repeating over and over as the song starts/Jaime sees Bran, then the song goes into "They ain't ready for this" and "It's me"

    3. "WAP" by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, and the "What Time Is It" scene from High School Musical 2:

"Now from the top, make it drop, that's some wet, that's some wet, now get a bucket..." as the characters dance in the halls

    4. "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel from Frozen, and the "Bet on It" scene from High School Musical 2:

the song is edited over the scene so it looks like Troy is singing "The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen...a kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I'm the queen"

    5. "To Build a Home" by the Cinematic Orchestra, and the scene where Wanda creates her and Vision's dream home in WandaVision:

Wanda looks at the map and cries as the song says, "There is a house built out of stone, wooden floors, walls, and window sills, tables and chairs worn by all the dust, this is the place where I don't feel alone"

    6. "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler, and Luke's entrance in The Mandalorian:

as Luke enters, the song says "Late at night, I toss and I turn, and I dream of what I need..." then jumps into "I need a hero!" as he starts destroying the droids

    7. And "Holding Out for a Hero" again, but The Fairy Godmother version from Shrek 2 (lmao), and the "On your left" scene from Avengers: Endgame:

As Steve hears Sam, the song goes "And I dream of what I need..." then speeds up and all the dusted characters come back

    8. "Mr. Blue Sky" by Electric Light Orchestra, and Obi Wan and Anakin's fight from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith:

Obi Wan says "Only a Sith deals in absolutes" and the music starts, freeze framing on the title of the movie in an '80s print

    9. "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift, and the airport hangar scene from Captain America: Civil War:

As we see the two sides in Civil War at the hangar, the song goes "'Cause baby now we got bad blood, you know it used to be mad love"

    10. "Gimme More" by Britney Spears, and the ending scene from Rogue One:

As Darth activates his light saber, "It's Britney bitch" plays and he starts to kill people as the song goes "I see you, I just want to dance with you"

    11. "What's Poppin'" by Jack Harlow, and the demonstration scene from Mulan:

As Mulan watches Li Shang take off his robe, the lyrics go "What's poppin'? Don't mind me, just watching"

    12. "Gotta Go My Own Way" by Troy and Gabriella in High School Musical 2, and Wanda and Vision's fight scene from WandaVision:

the lyrics are edited over so that it looks like Wanda is saying "I gotta go my own way" and that Vision is replying "What about us? What about everything we've been through?" and Wanda says "Well, what about trust?"

    13. "Cotton Eye Joe" by Rednex, and the scene where McGonagall brings the statues to life in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2:

McGonagall enchants the statues, and as they fall, Cotton-Eye Joe begins playing, the fiddle going as they march

    14. "London Bridge" by Fergie (again, but the clean version) and the snap scene from Avengers: Endgame:

Thanos says he's inevitable and tries to snap, but then London Bridge starts playing and goes "OH SNAP!"

    15. "Driver's License" by Olivia Rodrigo and the ending scene of Toy Story 3:

"Guess you didn't mean what you wrong in that song about me, you said forever, now I drive alone down your street" while Woody watches Andy drive away

    16. And "Driver's License" by Olivia Rodrigo again, but this time in the scene where Ricky listens to music while his parents fight in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series:

"Red lights, stop signs, I still see your face in the white cars, front yards..." while Ricky listens to music

    17. And finally, "Save You Tonight" by One Direction and the first assemble scene from The Avengers:

the camera circles around avengers as the song goes "Ahhh...ah...I want to save ya!"
