Tell Us About A Super-Messed-Up Thing Parents Did In A Kids Show That No One Ever Talks About

Danny Phantom's parents should be in jail.

There's no denying that parents aren't perfect, but sometimes TV shows take it a littllllleee too far. Even on kids shows!

I'm not even talking villainous parents; I'm talking about TV parents who are just casually the worst. 

Like, Timmy's parents on The Fairly OddParents were awful. They constantly left him alone with an abusive babysitter!

Remember that episode where it showed how much better off their lives would be without him?!?! Awful.

I'm still kind of pissed off about Danny's parents in Danny Phantom. If you're going to mess with weird ghost science, at least make sure your kid's not going to wander into one of your machines and basically kill himself.

I'm pretty sure I've read fan theories that they did this on purpose, too. Either way, it's pretty dark for a kids show!

And I know this show is for teenagers, but Joyce kicking her 16-year-old daughter out and then blaming Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer never sat right with me.

Joyce got a lot of love (and it was deserved in later seasons), but I will never forgive her for this. She'd already had proof of vampires and that her daughter was the Slayer, and yet still took away one of the last things Buffy had rather than support her.

I'm still so confused how Chase's parents literally let him transfer schools and countries just to chase Zoey on Zoey 101.
