This Star-Studded Passover Seder Raised Over $2.5 Million For The CDC

I have to say, this is definitely the most star-studded Passover I've ever attended.

The worldwide coronavirus pandemic has had a lot of negative consequences, one of which is not being able to celebrate holidays such as Passover and Easter with your family.

On Saturday, Tasty hosted a Seder for Jews and non-Jews everywhere featuring Broadway and TV stars such as Andy Cohen, Darren Criss, Ben Platt, Nick Kroll, Billy Eichner, Josh Groban, Debra Messing, Daniel Levy, and Finn Wolfhard....many of which, yes, aren't Jewish.

Despite being remote, the Seder was like any Seder...there was a lot of wine consumed (or in Ilana Glazer's case, cocktails and weed)...

Zack Kroll's "son" Finn Wolfhard was brought in to ask the four questions...

    There was plenty of singing.

And, of course, lots of Jewish jokes.

Some of the stars let us in on their special family traditions, like remixing Broadway songs to apply to Passover.

There were plenty of sketches, though some of the actors were...more prepared than others.

My personal favorite was Tan from Queer Eye giving Beanie Feldstein some style tips as she prepared to flee Egypt and live in the desert for 40 years.

Although watching Fran Drescher wash her hands while singing the theme song of The Nanny was a close second.

But the charity event was also filled with inspiring messages. Henry Winkler told the story of Moses, reminding us that he was just an ordinary guy who did something extraordinary, and that we, too, have that power.

Even though we all come from different places and may feel more apart than ever in this crisis, we can all come together in the common name of freedom.

The Seder concluded with a hopeful message from both stars and healthcare workers on the front lines – that next year, we will be able to be with our families and be safe, healthy, and happy.

The event raised $2.5 million for the CDC. If you'd like to contribute too, there is no better time!
