A man fakes his own death and goes on a killing rampage because he's insecure about his looks.  


Ha! Bet you thought it was going to be _Thor_, didn't you?

_Doctor Strange_

Upon being stripped of his most valuable tool, an arrogant man must go on a spiritual journey far from home to find the power within.

Fake meaning an ~illusion~. Too bad for Peter, though, the dude behind it's an actual threat.

_Spider-Man: Far From Home_

A superhero sick of being a superhero is forced to fight a fake threat.

Not to be dramatic, but I would die for Goose.

_Captain Marvel_

A mercenary forms a strong bond with an alien and a government employee while going through an identity crisis.  


....I'm too distracted by this GIF to say anything here except HOT DAMN.

_Captain America: The First Avenger_

A man takes performance enhancing drugs to excel at his dream job.

_Thor: Ragnarok_

After his father's death and a dire threat to his hometown, a man is subjected to public humiliation at the hands of a former friend.

On the bright side, Gamora and Nebula patch things up!

_Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2_

At a family reunion, a man decides he prefers his found family and kills his father.

Tony was so annoying in this movie, and I say this out of love. He did basically nothing to defeat the villain until the end, when Natasha and Pepper had already done half the work.

_Iron Man 2_

While a dying man goes on a destructive spiral, two women are left to do most of the work in defeating the bad guys.

The two scientists are Tony and Bruce. They done messed up. But hot take: they were on the right track. If Ultron had worked, they could've avoided The Snap.

_Avengers: Age of Ultron_

Two scientists accidentally create a monster that tries to kill them and their friends.

Another hot take: Cap was totally in the wrong.

_Captain America: Civil War_

When one guy picks an old friend over his new friend, their entire friend group is fractured.  


Who knew this film was such a political commentary?

_Logan_

An aging hero enlists a child in a violent fight against GMOs.

Still kinda crazy to me that the plot of this movie had so much to do with Thanos and the stones. They were planting seeds so early!

_Guardians of the Galaxy_

When a criminal accidentally pisses off a man who wants to commit genocide, he's forced to associate with other seedy types.

Killmonger really thought he could do a better job than T'Challa, who had been training his whole life for this. What kind of Troy Bolton nonsense...

_Black Panther_

A man's job competency is questioned by a family member with ill intentions.

Stealing the Yellowjacket was a crime, y'all. But he did it all for Cassie!!

_Ant-Man_

A man becomes a hired criminal so he can provide for his family.

_Iron Man_

A near death experience causes a man to do a 180 in his career.

Okay, so you didn't do a _great_ job, but neither did Thor when he stabbed Thanos in the heart instead of the head!

Nice try!

I got you on some of those there, but you still put in a solid effort. Kind of like Peter in _Civil War_, who was out of his league but definitely held his own.

Good job!

You know Marvel's plots better than Spider-Man knows "that really old movie, Empire Strikes Back!"
