19 Fictional TV And Movie Singers That Deserve Record Deals More Than Some Real Artists

    "BYE, BYE, LIL' SEBASTIAN!"

    1. Alex Fletcher from Music and Lyrics

    Warner Bros. Pictures

NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THIS ROM-COM AND THAT'S A DAMN SHAME. Hugh Grant shines as a has-been pop star, and all of his songs are fun, but my favorite has got to be the duet. I actually like it better when Drew Barrymore sings with him on the sample!

Best Song: "Way Back Into Love"

    2. Proto Zoa from Zenon

    Disney Channel

Proto Zoa was THE original teen heartthrob for 2000s kids. I don't know what it was about him: his fashion? His frosted tips? His voice? His LYRICS?! But he really did it for me, guys. DO ZENON 4, YOU COWARDS!

    Best Song: "Supernova Girl"

    3. Mouse Rat from Parks and Recreation

    NBC

Again, CHRIS PRATT NEEDS TO SING MORE. I know it's all for ~comedy~, but I still love his voice. I know I'm not alone in thinking Parks Chris Pratt was sexier than Guardians of the Galaxy or Jurassic World Chris Pratt.

Best Song: "5,000 Candles in the Wind"

    4. Ember from Danny Phantom

    Nickelodeon

    EMBERRRR, YOU WILL REMEMBER...

...and I did. I've remembered her all this time. She had an amazing voice, PLUS she made Danny fall in love with Sam, which wasn't bad in my book.

    Best Song: "Remember"

    5. Loretta from Pixel Perfect

    Disney Channel

I really urge you to rewatch at least one of Loretta's performance scenes. Her dancing is...really something else, and I wish that she wasn't fictional or a hologram (lol).

Best Song: "Nothing's Wrong with Me"

    6. Pink Slip from Freaky Friday

    Buena Vista Pictures

"I DON'T WANNA GROW UP, I JUST WANNA GET OUT, HEY, TAKE ME AWAY!"

Is it weird that I liked this song better when Jamie Lee Curtis was playing guitar? I'm going to go with no, especially because she ACTUALLY PLAYED THAT AMAZING GUITAR SOLO. Your fave could never.

    Best Song: "Take Me Away"

    7. SpongeBob SquarePants

    Nickelodeon

Okay, hear me out: I know he's not exactly a musical artist per se, BUT he flawlessly performs "Sweet Victory," "Goofy Goober Rock," "Best Day Ever," and of course, "The Campfire Song Song." Did SpongeBob miss his calling??

Best Song: "F.U.N." (also, you NEED to check out the trap remix)

    8. Sex Bob-Omb from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

    Universal Pictures

I saw this movie for the first time a few months ago, and I CANNOT BELIEVE IT TOOK ME THAT LONG. It's so fun, and the music is amazing. Scott's band is legitimately good.

    Best Song: "Threshold"

    9. Envy Adams/The Clash at Demonhead from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

    Universal Pictures

Scott's band may be good, but Envy's is something else. We need Brie Larson to do more music!!!

    Best Song: "Black Sheep"

    10. Isabella from The Lizzie McGuire Movie

    Buena Vista Pictures

THE WORDS THAT EMPOWERED A GENERATION. Okay, seriously, Hilary Duff has an amazing voice — but honestly, Isabella was like someone else entirely.

Best Song: "What Dreams Are Made Of"

    11. Drive Shaft from Lost

    ABC

My family STILL breaks into the "You All Everybody" song occasionally. It's just so catchy!

Best Song: "You All Everybody," of course.

    12. Robbie Hart from The Wedding Singer

    New Line Cinema

I know Adam Sandler does comedy songs, but "Grow Old with You" is a GENUINELY romantic, beautiful ballad. And "Somebody Kill Me" is a solid punk song!

Best Song: "Grow Old with You"

    13. The School of Rock from School of Rock

    Paramount Pictures

Listen, the School of Rock not winning Battle of the Bands IS THE BIGGEST INJUSTICE IN MODERN CINEMA. I need to see this band perform live.

    Best Song: "Teacher's Pet"

    14. Dingoes Ate My Baby from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

    The WB

Fun fact: The band's songs were actually songs by the real band Four Star Mary. HOWEVER, if a band doesn't have Seth Green playing guitar, I don't want to hear it.

    Best Song: "Pain"

    15. Haley James Scott from One Tree Hill

    The WB

I know Bethany Joy Lenz did have a band and often sang her own music on the show, but still. "Halo" is probably one of my favorite songs of all time, and it's credited to "Haley James Scott" on the One Tree Hill Friends with Benefit album. I also need more Haley/Chris Keller duets like "When the Stars Go Blue."

    Best Song: "Halo"

    16. Jack Maine from A Star Is Born

    Warner Bros. Pictures

Look, I'd say Ally too, but obviously Lady Gaga is already a singer. Bradley Cooper's voice is just SO pleasing to my ears and I need him to sing more. Get him and Hugh Jackman in a musical together!

Best Song: "Shallow," obviously, though for a non-duet, I like "Black Eyes"

    17. Chip from The Fairly OddParents

    Nickelodeon

Why did Colgate never license this song to use in a commercial?? It honestly makes me want to brush my teeth right now.

Best Song: "My Shiny Teeth And Me"

    18. Josie and the Pussycats from Riverdale

    The CW

The Pussycats were ROBBED of a bigger role on the show. I'm obsessed with Ashleigh Murray's voice — she was by far the best part of the Heathers episode. I haven't seen Katy Keene, but I hope they're showcasing her talents there.

    Best Song: "All For Me"

    19. And finally, the Nomads from Avatar: The Last Airbender

    Nickelodeon

SECRET TUNNELLLLLLLLLL!!! A song's chorus hasn't gone this hard since "Dream On." We all know this was the best episode of Avatar.

    Best Song: "Secret Tunnel"
