Home to some of the finest wines in America (and the entire world), Napa Valley is where food, wine, art, and culture all meet. There's plenty of glitz and glamour between the sprawling vineyards, luxurious hotels, and high-end restaurants. As you move from tasting room to tasting room, you'll find big bold Cabernets, rich Chardonnays, and everything in between.

Burgundy is one of the most renowned and oldest wine regions. Among the fields of vines and castles, you'll find the absolute best Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in the world, all with rich histories. Pair that with an incredible food scene (think: classic Burgundian dishes like coq au vin, escargot, and beef Bourguignon). Despite Burgundy's eminence, the region is charming and quaint.

Portugal's Douro Valley is one of the world's most underrated wine regions, which makes it an excellent value trip. Vineyards boast dramatic vistas and tasty wines— both earthy reds and crisp whites at great values. On top of that, it's one of the most jaw-dropping landscapes you'll ever see with terraced vineyards towering over the river.

From Medieval towns and incredible Italian food to rows of cypresses trees and sun-kissed vineyards, Tuscany has it all. When it comes to Tuscan wine, fruit-forward Sangiovese is king. And you'll soak up all the vino you'll be drinking with a feast of pastas, meats, and cheeses.

About an hour from Cape Town, Stellenbosch is South Africa's most famous wine region. It's small, but it's packed with hidden treasures. A haven for outdoor lovers and foodies, Stellenbosch boasts stunning mountain and water vistas plus a world-class dining scene. Best of all, this region is still relatively affordable so you'll find great value wines like Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinotage.

Just outside of Adelaide, Barossa Valley is one of Australia's top wine regions. The picture-perfect valley is home to everything from deep Shiraz and full-bodied Chardonnay to dry, aromatic Riesling. Barossa Valley is an ideal getaway for wine and food lovers, since its exciting culinary scene is the region's biggest attraction.
