In-laws can be an incredible addition to your family. They can serve as caring parental figures and/or loving grandparents, and they can be a great new support system in your life. Unfortunately, not all in-laws have such a positive impact. Some can be nasty, vindictive, manipulative, and toxic.
Maybe you knew it was time to cut off your in-laws ON YOUR WEDDING DAY when your mother-in-law screamed, "I object!" as you married her son, then ran up the aisle sobbing and calling you horrible names.
Or, perhaps you and your partner decided to cut off her parents after her father faked a break-in to your house in the middle of the night to try and convince you to move neighborhoods.
Or, maybe you cut your in-laws off after they said they would never love your child from a previous marriage "like their own grandchild."
