Aunt Angie is hosting this year's Christmas dinner! What time are you arriving at her house?

What are you bringing with you to dinner?

You notice your younger cousins, Max and Emily, won't stop fighting. What do you do?

Uncle Lou pulls you aside to ask about the holes in your jeans. How do you respond? 

You head to the kitchen to grab a glass of Aunt Margaret's mulled wine when Grandma stops you and asks why you're still single. What do you do?

Uncle George arrives with his new girlfriend, and you realize you two graduated from high school together back in the day. How do you react?

It's time for dinner! Aunt Angie just asked if her green bean casserole turned out okay, but it tastes so putrid you can't even get it down. What do you do?

Dinner is coming to a close when, suddenly, Uncle George stands up. He announces he has a very important question to ask his girlfriend. He pulls out one of grandma's rings and asks her to marry him. She says yes, and everyone stares in silence, except for Grandma, who runs out of the room. What the heck do you do?!

So, that was awkward. But, you made it to dessert. Aunt Sharon puts a giant slab of her pecan pie on your plate, but you notice a fly stuck to one of the nuts. What do you do?

You finally made it to the end of the evening! All you have to do is exit without any drama. Wait! Mom just volunteered you to host next year's dinner. What do you say?

The family's pretty freaked out that you two know each other, and Uncle George is upset you had to make a scene. So what if she's younger than his ex-wife? Are you judging him right now? Because he thinks that you are. These people are impossible to please. Better luck next year. 

 Ooh, this one was tricky, but you probably shouldn't have mentioned high school. 

She made the cookies too, so you'd think she would be cool with this choice. I am just as confused as you are. But, Aunt Sharon is sensitive, and this rejection has reminded her of how traumatic last year's pecan pie truly was. Somehow, you have ruined the evening. Sorry!

 It's pecan or nothing, sorry buddy. You know Aunt Sharon is trying to redeem herself from last year's fingernail-in-pie incident. 

You know better than that! Showing up late will cause hurt feelings, and you know how sensitive Aunt Angie can be! Shame on you!

 Why would you show up late? This will obviously cause drama.

What were you thinking? You've spoiled their appetites! Now, they are going to be bouncing off the walls from sugar and they won't be hungry for dinner. Nice going. Christmas dinner is ruined. 

 Why would you give them sweets before dinner?

How were you supposed to know Aunt Angie added Russian dressing and anchovies to the mix? Now the family is gagging and no one will touch their helping of casserole. Your harmless comment just ruined Christmas! Better luck next year.

 Why did you have to ask for her recipe? Now she has revealed all the disgusting ingredients she added, and Aunt Sharon is laughing hysterically. 

Grandma overheard your congratulations, and she doesn't like it one bit. Plus, you made everyone else feel uncomfortable by speaking up. Yeah, this group is the worst. Apparently you ruined Christmas, but I'm kind of with you on this one. Ugh. 

 Honestly, this is probably the mature thing to do, but this family isn't about maturity. So, bad call.

How thoughtless of you. Grandma can't believe you would hide such important information from her! She feels like you two are drifting apart and she needs to go get some air. Way to go. Christmas is ruined! 

 You're seeing someone and you DIDN'T think to tell your grandma right away?!

Wow, that wasn't easy, but you pulled it off! Honestly, I was pretty worried for you, but you kept your cool and avoided conflict. Nice work!

 You made it through Christmas dinner!

Weren't you on Aunt Sharon's email thread? She made it very clear that it was her year to bring the pies. Either you didn't read her 12 messages, or you thought you were too good for her pies. I know you found a fingernail in last year's pie, but that's no excuse! Aunt Sharon is hurt and Christmas is ruined. 

 Why would you bring a pie? You know Aunt Sharon is in charge of pies this year!

Do you really want to hear him drone on and on about why he hates millennials and how they are ruining the world? You would've been better off hitting him with some sarcasm, or ducking out of the conversation altogether. So close. 

 Rookie mistake! Uncle Lou hates fashion!

What could you possibly have on your calendar? You have offended the entire family with this seemingly neutral remark! Sorry, I don't know what to tell you. I hope you're ready to do some damage control! 

 How dare you even suggest you may have plans more important than spending Christmas with your family!
