This TikToker Pointed Out The Differences Between Aussie And American Music Festivals And It’s So Insightful

Don't count out the musical land Down Under.

I'm well aware of the significant differences between the land of kangaroos and the land of...bald-headed eagles. However, one thing that I've never really considered would be that different is our music festivals.

Well, apparently I've been blind to the real differences, which were pointed out by American TikToker Tate Duane, who made some very valid points.

As an Australian who's typically forgone Aussie music festivals (but has been to Coachella), I was intrigued. And I gotta say, after hearing what Tate had to say about them, I'm itching to go to one.

First things first — apparently Aussies know how to make techno music actually sound enjoyable. I'm personally not a fan, but neither was Tate! So maybe if I go to a festival, my entire mind will be blown.

The next discrepancy — which I can absolutely agree with — is that planning outfits for music festivals in the USA is practically as important as memorising which acts are on at what time. Aussies, on the other hand, value a more practical take on festival fashion.

The next point brought up is the fact that in Australia, you can carry your bevvies wherever your heart desires within the grounds of a music festival. In comparison, music festivals like Coachella have designated areas for consumption of alcohol.

Finally, Tate raised the point that because the festival is so isolated from everything else, almost everyone was camping — which meant everyone pretty much looked like crap and nobody cared.
