Potato Scallops Just Hit The Macca's Summer Menu And My Mouth Is Watering

Looks like the potato scallop VS. potato cake debate can finally be put to rest.

There's so much to love about summer — especially after we've been deprived for the past three years. The warm sun, road trips and, of course, great summer feeds by the beach.

Nothing in this world is better than the taste of crunch-encased, pillowy potato that's doused in a healthy serving of chicken salt after a swim.

Well, now Macca's have given us something else to praise summer about — and it's the addition of potato scallops on their seasonal menu.

They've been introduced alongside the Aussie Angus Deluxe, the McSpicy Deluxe and the Hokey Pokey Thickshake. 

While every single one of the new menu items sound tasty and enticing, I'm most excited for the scallops. Why? Because think of all the possibilities.

Sure, you could munch on these delicious potato discs as a snack, but they're also perfectly burger-shaped. Which means you can throw one onto your favourite burg' — or even use them in place of buns. Get creative, people!

The potato scallops, along with the other new menu items, will be gracing us for a limited time from January 11.
