Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

Hi there, my name is Hameda and I'm a shopping writer for BuzzFeed Oz — which basically means I love online shopping and trialing products to find out if they actually work or not.

I mean, the disappointment you feel when something doesn't live up to the hype or your expectation is astronomical.

One of the companies I've seen around and become intrigued about is Aussie brand tbh Skincare.

I mean one look at their before and afters and I was hooked. Their products use patented technology to disrupt biofilm all over the skin, which KILLS acne-causing bacteria.

So my interest was piqued, but the issue was, I'd never really had problematic skin. Some breakouts, sure, but nothing that caused me great anxiety — that is, until a few weeks ago.

This is what my skin looked like before it went to crap — I know this seems like a humble brag, but I honestly don't even wear foundation unless there's a special event, so I feel like I'm a teen going through puberty again.

I'm not sure if it was the stress of the holidays, or the build-up of emotion from everything that happened in 2020, but your girl's face was COVERED in zits.

I don't have any pictures from when it was at its worst as I didn't even want to leave the house at that stage. I'd constantly be holding my hand up to cover the craters that had made a home on my chin and I had no idea how to deal with the fact that I had a face full of pimples.

So when given the opportunity, I figured hey, if there was ever a time to start trying out tbh it was now. So I did!

Downer = having bad skin. Upside = I get to try new products!

I used the acne hack anti-bacterial cleanser and the acne hack cream at night.

And in the morning, I used the same cleanser with the skin shady™ face moisturiser, which is SPF 50+ — which is perfect to block out the harsh summer sun.

I also used their cleansing brush, which is easy to use and always left my skin feeling super soft and smooth.

All you have to do is apply a thin layer of the cleanser to your skin, then scrub away with the brush. When you're done, rinse and you're left with lovely polished skin.

After using this stuff for two and a bit weeks, my skin improved significantly — way more than I personally expected.

I was a little skeptical about whether or not I'd see a difference in such a short amount of time, but my larger pimples definitely shrunk and I'm sure in another couple of weeks, they'll be gone completely.

So, if you are someone who suffers from acne and you're not sure what products to choose, I highly recommend giving tbh a go.

Plus, their packaging is sustainable and their products are all cruelty-free, so you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing you're not causing unnecessary damage to the environment while taking on your acne demons.

You can pick up the products I used in a handy little kit for just $135.

The kit includes your choice of the acne hack cleanser, or the anti-bacterial cleaner, the acne hack face cream and the cleansing brush. You can also grab the facial sunscreen I used for $42.
