How Scrooge Are You?

Even Scrooge would raise an eyebrow at some of your practices. Taking candy from a baby? That’s just stingy for the sake of it. Have you never heard that it’s better to give than receive? Even the Ghost of Christmas past has given up on you. Bah, humbug!

You’re tighter than a cyclist’s spandex – but you’re oddly proud of this fact. Just remember, there’s a fine line between being good with money and winding everyone up with your skinflint ways. That whistling you hear might not be the wind going through the trees, but rather, a few ghosties on their way to pay you a visit…

Scrooge

You’re good with money, but not insanely tight with it. You’ll spend when you need to, but try to button down on frillies and fripperies. Just remember, while it’s good to save for a rainy day, when that rainy day comes, you probably should have already sprung for roof repairs and an umbrella.

Careful

You don’t like to spend above your means, but you’re not wildly chasing the pennies either. You’ll pick up a penny if you see it on the floor, but you’ll chuck it in your pocket with the rest of your change and spend it rather than tally it up. All in all, you live a balanced life.

Thrifty

Your motto is “life is for living”, and you don’t mind splashing out to finance your bordering-on-expensive tastes. You’ll treat yo’ self daily and would rather head to a sandwich shop than pack your own lunch each day. It’s all good – but maybe consider starting a rainy day fund, ‘mkay?

Spendy

You’re not a Scrooge – by any ways or means. In fact, you seem to have the power to make money trickle out of your pockets as if by magic. It’s not that you’re bad with money – it’s that it doesn’t really matter to you; fun, life, love, and experiences are where it’s at, and sometimes these things cost money. Just make sure that there’s not any closet Scrooges lurking in your life prepared to take advantage of your generous nature.
