24 Tools Under $15 To Up Your Beauty Game

A mixing palette, a jellyfish exfoliating brush, and so many more goodies.

    1. A reusable silicone mask cover that prevents evaporation so your sheet masks and moisturizers work better for ~max hydration~!  It also prevents your sheet masks from falling off your face when you move, which TBH is an innovation not to be taken lightly!!

Promising reviews: "One of my best purchases to date! I'm a big believer in face masks and use about five times a week. What has always bothered me was all the excess serum left in the package after using sheet masks. Well this has solved that. I store the excess in the fridge, top folded over and clipped closed. When I have two or three saved up, I smear all over my face and put this mask on for about 20 minutes. It allows the serum to really soak into my skin and when I'm done I take a drop or two of a mild facial soap and clean well. I dry over a towel and store away until it's next use. Highly recommend!" —Kerri A. Jantzen

"Definitely the best item in my skin routine. It is perfect and stretchable for when I’m wearing my sheet mask under it and doesn’t let my sheet mask fall." —Isama Borges

Get it from Amazon for $5.28.

    2. An eyelash curler with over 9,000 5-star ratings that'll gently curl your lashes and is designed not to pinch skin (literally: the company reports it ran hundreds of experiments before deciding on this curler model because it fits most human eyes without pinching). That's science to me!!

    A reviewer's eyelash curler
A reviewer with one eye's lashes uncurled, labeled

The curler has soft silicone pads that enhance your ability to shape your lashes with minimal pressure so it is easier on lashes. It comes with five extra replacement silicone pads and can be used on both top and bottom lashes!

To curl, clean lashes, look downwards, place lashes in eyelash holder, and lightly press down on curler for several seconds. For best usage, curl your lashes before applying mascara as this will prevent the curler from sticking to the mascara.

Promising review: "I have long, full, but straight lashes. Nothing has worked. They just won't hold a curl. I have no idea what is different about this item, but my lashes look great! Gets all the lashes from outer to inner in one easy–squeezy. I FINALLY have found something that holds the curl ALL DAY! 100% recommend!!!" —Tangie4242

Get it from Amazon for $9.95+ (available in two colors).

    3. And a beloved travel eyelash curler so you can carry your fave curler around in your tote or while traveling. In other words, you can flutter your lashes all day long wherever you are!!

A reviewer showing their eye's lashes before being curled, labeled

The curler can be used with natural or fake lashes and has an ergonomic handle so you have maximum control over curling. It also has an extra lash pad tucked inside for easy replacement.

Careful not to squeeze the curler too hard to prevent breakage of the curler or of lashes!

Promising review: "This is my favorite lash curler. I'll never use the metal kind again. It feels like I can get closer to the base of the lash to curl with this one = bigger curl. Also now that I'm aging and some of the lid is sagging, with this curler it is easier to get the lash without pinching the skin. I've found it easy to grab and use even without the full makeup routine to give a quick improvement to my looks." —yoopergram

Get it from Amazon for $8.80 (available in two colors).

    4. A 50-pack of compressed facial sponges for deep pore cleansing, makeup removal, and gentle exfoliation that I ADORE. My skin feels noticeably softer after using them and I can tell they clean my pores well because I'm breaking out less. These are made of natural cellulose so they are safe for sensitive skin!

Promising review: "I’m prone to dry skin so exfoliating is super important to me, but my skin is pale and delicate so anything too rough will leave me with redness and irritation. I’m also obsessed with skincare so I’m really picky about my tools and products. These are my new favorite sponges! I’m going to give them to all my friends because everyone needs them!! I’m so in love with these. The texture is soft but not too soft — after washing then exfoliating with a scrub using this sponge, my skin felt invigorated, soft and clean. So pleasantly surprised because I’ve never tried this type of sponge and I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else ever again. Once you add water they become spongy and are soft but just the right texture to clean deep into my pores without the harshness of more textured sponges." —RejuveKate

Promising review: "The most magical face brush. I've been using this silicone jellyfish brush for a few months now and I honestly can't imagine my life without it. It's gentle but also really really really good about getting you all squeaky clean. Seeing its little face in the morning, preparing for my first daily scrub, fills me with so much joy." —Franchesca

The brush works on wet and dry hair, and on thick and thin hair types.

Promising Review: "I'm a single dad of a 6-year-old girl and combing her hair is the hardest part of taking care of her. She gets really bad knots in her hair. This brush is the only thing that has ever worked. Thank you so much. She even likes to comb her own hair now." —Nguyen P.

"The best brush for 4c natural hair. Easy detangling with wet or dry hair. No pain at all. This brush just slides through without pulling out your hair. A must buy!!!!" —Jackie E.

"This 'Glide Thru' detangling brush is appropriately and accurately named since it swiftly, easily, and painlessly detangled my long, fine hair almost instantaneously. It works wonderfully in my hair whether it is wet or dry. Since my hair is fine and thin, my scalp will sometimes peep through when I pin it up or wear it in a ponytail. I have noticed that when I use this brush, it perfectly arranges my hair so I no longer have that problem." —Peba

Get it from Amazon for $11.99 (available in nine colors and packs of two).

    8. An ice roller that you fill with liquid yourself, so you can freeze it with whatever you want: essential oils, green tea, cucumber water, or even add petals. Plain water is also great  — don't fix what isn't broken!

To use the roller, add water and anything else (essential oils, etc.) until 90% full. Put the roller in the freezer for at least four hours until it freezes into an ice cube. Remove it and let sit for a few minutes so you're able to open the lid, then apply! Try rolling it in circular motions on the face for 30-second intervals.

Promising review: "Amazing product that wakes my face up every day! Due to work stress and frequent insomnia, I desperately need an ice roller to relieve my skin stress! I purchased this ice roller and use it almost every day. Usually I use it with ingredients like water or cucumber mint leaves for extra benefits. Another benefit is to use it after applying serums to help them penetrate into the skin. It effectively reduced the redness around my eyes! Highly recommended!" —Harry Cox

A reviewer's arm with bits of exfoliated skin removed with the exfoliating washcloth

Soak your skin in water for 10 minutes before exfoliating for best use. Recommended use is one to two times a week.

Promising reviews: "Have you ever taken a shower and just feel like you're washing the dirt and get out of the shower and still feel sticky? No? Just me? Stand in the steam for a few minutes and then buff your skin with these. You'll be amazed at the amount of exfoliation. And they're not joking about your skin feeling soft. It's baby soft. (No, not the perfume, '90s teens). All jokes aside you're going to be amazed. The downside is the mitt shrinks a little when wet and you have to stretch it a bit before it stays on better." —Psyschae

"I have keratosis pilaris on the back of my legs and arms that won't go away with simple sugar scrubs. These exfoliating mitts/washcloths are very rough in texture which is good if you know how to use them. Start off with gentle motions until you get the hand of it and then slowly increase the pressure when using these, because if you're being too rough it will literally give you carpet burn. But when used correctly and not too often (once or twice a week at most) these provide a deep level of exfoliation that reveals a new layer of softer skin. These are a game-changer for me that are stronger than any sugar/coffee/walnut scrub or exfoliating cloth I've used in the past. The other product that I use in combination with this (on different days than these wash cloths) is the First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Scrub which is also fantastic for KP. i also love that these are washable and reusable, which make them a lot cheaper than other exfoliating products." —Alanna
