Grimes Shared A Bunch Of Tweets In Support Of Lizzo Following The Lawsuit Over Her Alleged Mistreatment Of Her Dancers

"Lizzo was nice to me before Elon when she blew up and I was still indie..."

Grimes has entered the chat and fired off tweets in support of Lizzo amid her current legal woes.

As you may have heard, Lizzo faced scrutiny this week over her alleged workplace behavior. Three of her dancers filed a workplace harassment lawsuit against the singer.

Now, Grimes has spoken up in defense of Lizzo, or at least, of her experience with the performer over the years.

Grimes wrote on Twitter this morning, "I love Lizzo. Not saying I don't believe ppl when bad things happen, but I had dancers mistreated on my watch in ways I didn't find out about until way later."

Grimes continued, "Mebe shit is bad. But loyalty matters to me. Lizzo was kind to me and others for a decade before she was 'cool,' and she checked in in me when no one cared. I've only ever seen exemplary behavior from her, especially when everyone was hating on me and she was on top of the world."

"There was no reason for her to check in, besides to be a good person. Just my two cents. I recall when she first blew up being so happy because I'd never known such an admirable person to find fame in the music industry. I struggle to believe she would have so radically changed 💜 tired of a culture that seeks to destroy it's greatest virtues. Lizzo is amazing," Grimes concluded in her tweet.

A user then commented that the kindness might be because of Grimes's status in the industry. They wrote, "Grimes, it's because you're rich and wealthy and have influence," and that "Lizzo is a classist abuser who doesn't believe people 'on her level' deserve respect."

In response, Grimes doubled down. She wrote, "Lizzo was nice to me before Elon [Musk] when she blew up and I was still indie as fuck." Grimes continued, "She was nice to me in like 2012 before anyone cared abt either of us." She added how Lizzo checked in on her when she was "canceled" and "pregnant." "I respect that hardcore," Grimes wrote. "That's a good person."

Grimes then ended her tweets, saying: "I see a society crumbling under the weight of human imperfection because people can't handle that we all fuck up, I see humans becoming pathetic shadows of themselves, fighting for a fragile acceptance by turning against their friends."

The lawyers for Lizzo's dancers have confirmed to US Weekly they will be moving ahead with the lawsuit and are prepared to take it to trial.

    We'll keep you posted.
