If there's one thing we know about The O.C.'s Marissa Cooper, it's that all in all, she was a pretty terrible human being, most of the time.
If there's another thing we know about Marissa, it's that she's the owner of the Best Damn Hair in television history.
1. When her hair tricked us all into thinking she was a carefree, totally laid-back chick.
2. And then did this sexy, messy thing when everyone figured out she was actually a disaster of a person.
3. When she did fashion shows and her glossy hair and equally shiny lipgloss were super pretty and, like, so Orange County.
4. That time she made us wish we didn't dispose of our butterfly clip collection.
5. The times she turned a ribbon into a headband and looked even more perfect than usual.
6. When the whole gang went to watch Rooney play and Marissa's hair was the centre of attention until Oliver tried to buy drugs.
7. Her hair in that scene with Alex that everyone needed to take a cold shower after - for aesthetic and other reasons.
8. That time Marissa's graduation gown and long layers convinced us all she just might have a chance at a bright future.
9. When she cut a fringe.
10. Then realised how annoying it is not being able to JUST TIE ALL YOUR HAIR BACK.
11. And decided to grow it out.
12. When her braids were the only thing keeping her life together.
13. Which happened a few times.

15. Every single time her hair looked sexy pushed back.
16. And it gave us joy, despite the fact Marissa was incapable of finding it herself.
17. When she took her pony game to a whole new level.
18. The time she got those blunt ends cut.
19. And every time she absolutely nailed the hot mess.
