1. Wendy's Secret Garden, Lavender Bay

Wendy Whitely spent over 20 years working on this public garden in front of her Lavender Bay home. Filled with flowers and ornaments this is the perfect spot to experience some real ~magic~.


6. Centennial Parklands, Eastern Suburbs

Rent a bike, feed some ducks, or set yourself up under a tree. Centennial Parklands is huge, so rest assured you'll be able to find a space to call your own in between the huge gardens and grassed areas.

7. Manly Dam, Manly

Turn your picnic into a day trip and pack your bike or walking shoes along with your lunch. There's heaps to see around the dam, so leave the house early and spend the next few hours enjoying your adventure.


9. Clifton Gardens, Mosman

If you miss out on one of the coveted picnic tables, a patch of grass in the shade will be a perfect substitute. If you want to do some exploring after you eat and swim, take the bushwalking track to Rawson Oval.

11. Bradfield Park, Milsons Point

With arguably the best view in Sydney, this park is located right under the Harbour Bridge. Get there early in the day to secure a good spot, and make sure your phone is charged as you're going to be taking a lot of photos.
