It ainʼt a desi party without a bunch of dressed up girls taking millions (still an understatement) of selfies. The end goal? Always a picture flawless enough for facebook, instagram or who knows, maybe even shaadi.com. #spamthenewsfeedaway

The days leading up to a desi event is full of countless hours trying to pick an outfit that's just right. BUT ITS WORTH IT, because how many times do we get to dress up in our finest Indian attire during the school year? Simply not enough.

You don’t need to sit around dwelling about how long it'll be before you're 19, and you won’t need to try your luck with a fake ID that you already know doesn’t even look like you. Just worry about more selfies, because this event is ALL AGES! Lit right? Even Donald Trump agrees.

4. That much needed break from stu(dying).

Whether you’re on Netflix or you’re actually studying, we all need a break from time to time. Psychology has uncovered that breaks are NECESSARY for focus and efficiency… so just come party with us, even science is telling you to.

5. VERSATILE MUSIC THO

We all know that a party really starts when the music begins and the dance floor opens. Hip Hop, Bhangra, R&B, Bollywood... you name it, we got it! And the best part is you don't even have to be a dancer, as long you just put your hands in the air and have a great time.

As if taking selfies from your own phones wasn't good enough, we even went through the process of setting up a photobooth to take complete profile pictures for you and your friends. Take as many as you want, no extra charge required with your own personal photographer from yours truly.

Whoever is reading this, and is legal, you'll have access to alcohol. Yeah, that’s right, you heard me. ALCOHOL IS BEING SERVED TO ALL YOU LEGAL PEEPS! Whether you guys have realized or not, this royal ball is taking place at THE WAVE! And as we all know, The Wave is oh so conveniently located on the 2nd floor of the UCC! Of course, that means if it’s closer to home, there’s more time to get ready, and thus more time to take selfies.

11. Last, but not least...

If you came out to our formal last year or if you at least heard about it, you already know that it was LIT and full of only good times! We are definitely doing it up big this year! That’s more than enough reason to come out. You know you want to.
