Response to How Expensive Was Your College Tuition?:
I spent the first half of my undergrad career at a junior college, working and taking classes at the same time which qualified me for a waiver of my fees at the JC. Then I transferred when I was 24, which means I was counted as “financially” independent from my parents, so with my excellent GPA I qualified for Pell grants that covered the full cost of tuition at UC Santa Cruz (go Slugs!!). The only thing I paid for was room and board, through a combo of savings from past work and a little help from my ‘rents, which they were more than happy to give since I saved them and myself a butt ton on regular tuition. Have to say though, my JC is one of the best in the country and prepared me very well for transfer, so I’m not sure everyone would have the same experience I did being able to transfer.

My fiance: 6’10” Not even worried for Miss Panettiere ;)
Mt fiance’s name is Bjorn. Every time we meet someone new its the same story: “what is it again?” “how do you spell it?(which never helps)” etc. Then they proceed to call him Born, Byron, Bern, or something other than his name… It’s pronounced Bee-yorn fyi. Don’t even get me started on Starbucks.
