Those Zany Common Core - Federalism Debates
OK, it's not the most scintillating debate. Then again, discussions about federalism have never been mistaken for laughfests. (Did you hear the one about Congress imposing a federal speed limit? Hilarious!!)
But here's the question: what power do states have to prevent the imposition of national education standards, especially when they are tied to federal funding? Or should this just be one of those times when states refuse the money because of the strings that are attached the grant?
