What happens when two social media powerhouses come together to create the ultimate Instagram-worthy culinary creation? You get the Clinton Hall x Sugar Factory Donuts Sour Cream n’ Onion Doughnut Grilled Cheese . Alone, doughnut expert Max Santiago’s savory sour cream and onion doughnut is tasty enough to sell out before most people even get out of bed in the morning, but mix it together with Clinton Hall’s over-the-top ideas, and you get a food-lover’s dream come true. Chef Darryl Harmon has done it again in the CH kitchen and has come up with a mouthwatering potato soup recipe that cannot be replicated. He’s mastered the art of blending the two together in the most mouthwatering way, and your tastebuds will pretty much go into shock over this creation.

You might remember earlier this year when Clinton Hall teamed up with The Doughnut Project and created the Flamin’ Hot Doughnut Grilled Cheese, which practically broke the internet. If you followed any food accounts at all, it was impossible to scroll through Instagram without seeing at least one picture pop up of the perfectly toasted spicy doughnut hanging over a bowl of tomato soup with mozzarella cheese oozing from the center. While the Flaming Hot/Doughnut Project collab was exclusively short-lived, it was still one of the most talked about collabs in foodie history. Clinton Hall has since made the creation a permanent menu item, giving it the well-earned title the Famous Doughnut Grilled Cheese. The only difference is they now use a plain glazed doughnut from a local bakery and although the result is ALMOST as delicious as the Doughnut Project collab, they knew it was time to shock the world once again-only this time, they wanted to do it bigger and better.

When you think of classic comfort food, your mind immediately goes to grilled cheese and tomato soup. Well, imagine that on a whole other level. The flavor combination of this new collaboration item is unlike anything the NYC food world has ever tasted-and that’s a group of people that has tasted A LOT. Here’s what it’s made up of: a 24-hour raised scallion filled Sugar Factory doughnut with a sour cream glaze, creamy homemade potato soup and sharp cheddar cheese. This is all combined and the doughnut grilled cheese is then suspended over the potato soup in true Clinton Hall fashion with all of that glorious cheese beautifully oozing out of it. It’s almost too pretty to eat. ALMOST.
