Response to 27 Asian Leading Men Who Deserve More Airtime:
You’re missing some info!! Daniel Henney was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine among several other works. Lee Byung Hun has been in a few American movies as well (G.I. Joe, Red 2, etc).
I don’t think you have the right to make suchaconfident statement, “Ashley’s view isarule rather than an exception” unless you, yourself, grew up in Korea and know the culture from an insider’s perspective. Your last sentence isavery broad and unfounded statement that is offensive to an entire nation of people. Based on one of your other comments, you obviously don’t appreciate it when people make offensive or generalized comments about Japan or Japanese people. What gives you the right to do the same to others?
We cannot judge an entire nation of people. Most countries have parts of their culture that would seem “weird” or even “offensive” to others. But that isn’t for others to judge.
Also, I’m not sure what beef you have with Korea or Koreans in general (based on this and your other comments) but you need to let it go. You talk about how Koreans hold grudges but it seems like you’re the one holdingagrudge. Koreans are normal people just like you.
