Nice job! It is a pretty big portion of the music industry!
According to John Williamson and Martin Cloonan, writers of Rethinking the Music Industry, the recording industry makes up 70 percent of the entire music industry. This makes sense because of how many songs and artists there are along with how big record labels are.
RecordsRecord LabelsProducersMusic Store Managers
Trick question! They all are a part of the recording industry!
Records, record labels, and producers are all obviously a part of the recording industry since they all assist in the literal recordings of songs, but music store managers are also a part of it because they carry and sell these records.
Great! Those apps are all a part of the music industry, even though they may seem like they aren't!
Though the internet and apps like these are sort of a fuzzy area of the music industry (legally speaking), they are very much a part of it and have expanded it greatly.
The Record LabelThe Artist
The artist actually make less money off of their own songs than the record labels.
Though it seems more fair that the artist and, presumably, the creator of the song should get most of the money from selling it, the record label actually gets more money from selling songs since - the reasoning behind this is because it provides the artist with a large platform to reach larger audiences and with better technology, better producers, and larger budgets.
Good job, Stressed Out did in fact reach the highest point out of the three songs for the longest period of time.
According to Billboard.com, twenty one pilots' song Stressed Out's peak position was #2, same as Heathen, but it has been on the chats for 52 weeks, whereas Heathens has been there for 39 weeks.
Twenty One PilotsVesselBlurryface
It is actually Vessel!
From Billboard.com, Vessel has been on the charts for 139 total weeks whereas Blurryface, released in 2015, has been on them for 100 weeks.
At least in my opinion... But I have seen them four times and I can say that they do put on an amazing show, including a magic trick, climbing the rafters, and performing a drum finale on top of the crowd!
I have also seen ACDC and Van Halen live and a number of other artists on youtube and I can say I have never seen anything as good as twenty one pilots live. Even if you may not like their music you should still definitely go see them.
Stressed OutGuns For HandsFall AwayOde To Sleep
I like to say I don't have a favorite twenty one pilots' song since I love them all, but out of these ones I think I would have to say Ode To Sleep. It is a song that goes all over the place from a sort of dark sounding dubstep(ish) fast rap part to a swinging melody that you'll sing along with every time. I hope you'll investigate twenty one pilots' more if you don't know them well!
