11 Things We've Tried, Told Everyone About, And Think You'll Love Too

Including a 3D-printed planter, a sound machine, and more great products we can't stop talking about.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Some may have been sent as samples, but all opinions and reviews are our own. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

This post features a mix of items that we purchased with our own money and those that were provided to us at no cost for the sake of review. (But! We’re under no obligation to write a review of those things, let alone a positive review.)

    1. An inflatable neck pillow you'll definitely want to pack for your next trip, especially if it includes a long flight. It's portable enough to fit in a carry-on and so easy to inflate, just press a button on the side. You'll be good to go if you want to sleep comfortably in a plane seat.

"Earlier this summer I traveled to Italy from Chicago, and I'm not rich by any means — meaning that I needed to maximize my economy seat's comfort for my 13-hour journey while staying on a budget. I bought this pillow after dreading the thought of carrying around my usual travel neck pillow (and being grossed out at the thought of my usual neck pillow having to touch my suitcase, outside of my backpack, etc. while traveling from place to place).

As someone who knows that traveling internationally means playing a real-life game of Tetris, this inflatable neck pillow was not only budget-friendly, but because when deflated it rolled up and fit into a small provided bag for just for storing the pillow, it was a game changer for minimizing the amount of things I had to carry! Inflating it takes all of 30 seconds and the cover is removable, so you can throw it in the wash before your next trip.

My boyfriend even used it a few times on the trip because he was jealous that he didn't buy one before we left. If you're someone who can easily sleep on a plane like me, your naps will be even more comfortable...and if you're not one who easily falls asleep on flights, this may help. :)" —Anna Kopsky

Get it from Amazon for $21.95 (available in two colors).

    2. Poo-Pourri room spray to help minimize stinky odors around your home. One of our editors swears by this essential, which can be sprayed in the air *or* on fabric surfaces, including bedding and couches. Instead of smelling your pet's fave seating spot or the kitchen trash can, your living space will be filled with a soothing almond, coconut, and vanilla scent.

"While most of us have likely used Poo-Pourri’s classic toilet spray at least once by now (and if you haven’t, OMG it will change your life) you may not know they actually make other products that’ll help you solve other stinky problems!

I’ve been using their latest air and fabric spray and cannot say enough good things about it. It’s impressive how well it covers a stench. I’ve really put it to the test — I’ve been using it after opening the poop and pee filled diaper pail in my son’s room. Lemme tell you, even the best diaper pail on the market won’t conceal how horrible a dirty diaper smells when you open it to throw out another one. Honestly, the smell lingers and quickly fills the air. Which is where the air spray comes in. I literally only spritz it once and the stink of the diapers disappears!

I’ve started keeping it on the changing table alongside all my other must-haves for diaper changes! I’m totally going to buy more to keep in my bathrooms and in my kitchen." —Heather Braga

FYI, the scent above is sold out, but it's available in other scents like Fresh Air, Lavender Sage, and Grapefruit Lychee Vanilla.

Get an 11-ounce spray bottle from Target or Amazon (available in multiple scents).

    3. KimChi x Trixie's MVPalette with lots of gorgeous, highly pigmented shades for your beauty routine. Whether you prefer a subtle shimmer or bold neon hue, this eyeshadow palette will elevate any makeup look.

"I recently received an amazing package full of the products from the Trixie x Kim Chi collab and they did not disappoint. Aside from the packaging being a collector's item in and of itself, the makeup products are wonderfully pigmented and fun while still being wearable.

I have been wearing the eyeshadow palette nonstop and am loving the neutral shades down the left column of the palette as well as the shimmer shade 'Parisian Glow.' If there's anything else you snag from this collection, grab the Double Diamonds highlighter!" —Ali Faccenda

Get it from KimChi Chic Beauty for $45

    4. A Short Story box that'll help you build a stylish wardrobe and find everyday pieces you'll love to wear. This personalized subscription service, which carries petite clothes in sizes 00–18, sends you five curated pieces each month based on your style preferences. You'll get to try and buy tops, dresses, pants, and more chic items without having to browse online or visit a store.

Here's how it works: First, take a style quiz to share your size, style preferences, and desired budget. Then, a Short Story stylist will hand-pick a box of clothing with five items and send it to you (you'll be charged a $25 styling fee that'll be applied toward anything you keep). Once the box arrives, you'll have five days to try everything on, decide which pieces you want, and pay for them online. If there are items you didn't want to keep, no worries, because you can easily send them back in a prepaid return parcel.

"Short Story is an Asian-owned brand that creates clothing exclusively for short women. In addition to designing and creating clothing for short women, the brand also brings more sustainability to its clothing. Instead of making 500 clothes, they make a batch of 20 to see if people would like it first and ensure that customers enjoy the product before making it part of their regular assortment. If customers do not like certain clothes given, Short Story lets you mail those back with a prepaid shipping label, and you only pay for the stuff you keep.

I am 4'11" so it's been hard finding jeans that fit my length as well as long dresses that weren't too long that they hit the floor and drag everywhere. Short Story gifted me a box after I filled out a survey about my measurements and what kind of clothing I'm into or interested in.

I was so pleasantly surprised that the jeans fit PERFECTLY and the bottom hem stopped before my ankles, so I didn't have to roll them up like I usually do. I also loved how the longer dress (editor's note: see review photo above) given wasn't too long in that it doesn't drag on the floor. I also got three other clothing items that fit my style and me very well, but the black dress and jeans were definitely my favorite out of the five!" —Brittney Trinh

    5. A Kiehl's foaming face wash so you can effectively take off makeup and gently clean your cheeks, chin, and forehead. Formulated for normal-to-oily skin, this creamy gel formula contains calendula flower extract that helps soften and smooth, plus minimize redness.

BuzzFeed editor Lara Parker holding bottle of the deep cleansing foaming face wash

"I was honestly pretty skeptical when I first picked up a bottle of this; I was on a road trip and happened to be randomly near a Kiehl's storefront and really needed a good face wash that felt like it both 1) removed my makeup and 2) helped my skin look and feel better all-around.

I had tried other Kiehl's products in the past (though never this face wash) and while I liked them, I also found it to be overpriced and sort of underwhelming. That is, until I used this. I have now re-purchased this bottle four separate times in the last two years.

It lasts a decent amount of time, but I also use it twice a day every day and honestly it's the only face wash I have EVER, ever repurchased like this. At $36, it's not cheap, but because I use it every single day and feel like it actually works, it's worth every penny to me. I think it makes my skin feel softer, smoother, and cleaner. What more could you really ask for in a face wash? As an added bonus, this face wash is also paraben-free, silicone-free, sulfate-free, alcohol-free, and dye-free. At this point, I think I'll be a fan for life." —Lara Parker

Get it from Kiehl's or Sephora for $36.

    6. A 3D-printed planter because let's ~face it,~ your plant babies need a home that's not a boring pot. Each of these designs is eye-catching and will look so cool on your coffee table, desk, or nightstand.

There are three sizes (small, medium, and large) available, plus each comes with a single drainage hole (for the small ones) or multiple drainage holes (for the medium and large ones) that'll help with watering plants.

PRINTERROR is a small business based in Austin that sells 3D-printed home decor goods!

"I own a lot of planters, but all of them are generic-looking — except for this one, created on a 3D printer. Even better, when I bought this I was so excited to learn that this company not only features designs by queer artists but it also uses corn-based recyclable materials in its products (we love reducing our carbon footprint!).

While the company has an impressive amount of options for planters in SO many colors, this one stuck out to me because it was bright and a little bit freaky. I get compliments on it every time someone comes over, and since it sits on my desk, the pop of color and artistry brings joy to me every day. Next I've been eyeing up the one shaped like a two-headed skull — it's almost Halloween time, right? So why not?" —Anna Kopsky

Get it from PRINTERROR's website for $25+ or PRINTERROR on Etsy for $30+ (available in three sizes and eight colors).

    7. A Harry Potter-themed BarkBox that'll be a ~magical~ surprise for your furry friend who loves to play all day. This cute set is filled with fan favorites like a lil' plush Hedwig, spellbinding wand, and more fun toys for your pup.

BarkBox is a subscription service that send a personalized box of themed toys and treats for your dog each month. Each box varies as well, so you and your pup will be surprised with something new each time!

"I recently was sent both the super chewer and medium-sized dog Harry Potter BarkBoxes and as someone who is a huge fan of the movies, this was such a treat for me AND of course my dog Franklin. He immediately loved the Marauder's Map toy and the wand but to be honest, every single toy in this themed box is 10/10. I can't say enough good things about BarkBox and if you're a fan of HP, then you need to order one of these ASAP. *Note that the toys vary from box to box so it's always a surprise!" —Ali Faccenda

    8. An Evereden SPF 50 mineral sunscreen to make sun protection less of a hassle if you're traveling. It easily rubs into your skin without leaving a greasy residue and is reef-friendly (it doesn't contain oxybenzone and octinoxate). An added bonus? You won't have to carry around a big bottle, because it comes in a portable container that clips on a bag or backpack!

"I'm somewhat of a skincare obsessive, and as someone with extremely fair skin, I take my sunscreen VERY seriously. After years of using spray sunscreens on my body, I switched to lotion formulas this year, since I was finding that the sprays were drying me out. But most of the lotions were making me feel greasy, so it seemed like I was destined for one extreme or another. That is, until Evereden reached out and asked if I wanted to try out their new SPF 50 mineral sunscreen, which was described to me as being 'serum-like.' I was intrigued, so I figured why not.

WELL, let me tell you — this sunscreen is not like the others! I brought it with me on a trip to Chicago, where it was in the '90s almost every day. Since I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking in the sun, I made sure to slather it all over my arms and any other exposed skin, expecting another greasy experience. Oh was I wrong. This stuff soaked into my skin almost instantly and barely took any effort to rub in. I literally called my husband into the room and told him, "You have to put this stuff on" as soon as I tried it. Not only did it not leave a greasy white cast behind (on my fair skin or my husband's darker olive complexion), it also smelled WONDERFUL! We were shocked by how non-sunscreen-y the scent was (it's sort of sweet), and it made us not dread applying sunscreen the whole rest of the trip.

At just two fluid ounces, it's TSA-friendly and great for traveling, and it even comes with a little hook so you can attach it to your bag! Plus, it's made with sunflower seed oil, which delivers some extra hydration (always a plus when it comes to my super thirsty skin). Oh, and if you wanna go swimming, it's water-resistant for up to 40 minutes — and reef-safe!

Sure, it's admittedly a bit pricier than your average drugstore sunscreen, but I'm already planning on purchasing another bottle (or five) as soon as I use up the one I have. Totally worth it if you want to protect your skin without feeling like a sticky, oily mess all day." —Brittany Ross

Get it from Amazon for $24.

    9. A Hatch Restore sound machine and night light, so you or your little one can rest better during the day or evening. Set a sleep-wake routine with a sunrise alarm clock that'll gradually shift brightness levels and white noise sounds to help you relax. You can also control settings from your phone with the free Hatch Sleep app.

"I have both a Hatch Rest+ and a Hatch Restore (editor's note: see image above of the Hatch Restore) and they’ve both been essential to my baby’s nighttime routine. We keep the Hatch Rest+ in our bedroom and the Hatch Restore in my son’s room (though he’s still sleeping in a bedside bassinet).

I love that I can control both the lighting and sound of the devices on my phone with Hatch’s easy-to-use app. My husband typically gives the baby a bottle before bedtime in our room, while he’s doing that I turn on the 'rain sounds' that we’ve been using as white noise for our little one — I personally find it makes me feel cozier as well, since it’s on in our room all night. However, the most helpful feature on both devices is the ability to adjust how bright the light is. We’re still getting up for middle of the night feedings and diaper changes, so it’s been invaluable to be able to raise the light a bit when doing so but then be able to quickly lower it once the baby has settled back into sleep. It’s also not a harsh light and has a bunch of different color options, so it’s been easy enough to find a brightness that suits our needs.

The Hatch Rest+ is ideal for parents as it also has a sound monitor option. For the hour or so Noah (my baby) is sleeping in our room before my husband and I get into bed I’m able to listen in and hear if he’s fussing, crying, etc. We were also able to set it to a specific program so the light/sounds turn off on their own in the morning (one less thing for us to think about).

While we’re only using the Hatch Restore primarily as a night-light in Noah’s room for diaper changes, in the future its ability to set up a routine on the device will be great! We’ll be able to set a 'bedtime routine' complete with a soft reading light, specific lighting and sounds for Noah to fall asleep to, and lighting and sound to help him stay asleep.

IMO, both items are a 10/10 and while they’re a must-have for any parent, I can totally see anyone of any age benefitting from using one at bedtime." —Heather Braga

Get both from Amazon: The Hatch Rest+ for $89.99 and The Hatch Restore for $129.99.

    10. A Force Of Nature Starter Kit that'll help tackle so many messes, including grease, grime, soap scum, and that mysterious sticky goo on your kitchen countertop. This multipurpose cleaner has a light scent and helps keep indoor surfaces disinfected for up to two weeks, so you can spend less time tidying up your home.

This kit comes with five activator capsules (each make one 12-ounce bottle of an all-in one cleaner, disinfectant, and deodorizer), a 12-ounce reusable spray bottle, an electrolyzer appliance, power cord, and a quick start guide and user manual.

"I was a little skeptical originally but I actually really like this. For one, it doesn't have a strong smell which makes cleaning days so much better when I don't have to open every window, just so I can breathe. It looks very complicated, which is why it took me so long to use, but it is quite simple to use. Plus, it is fun to watch! It's like a cool science experiment you would do in school lol.

This cleaner lasts about 2 weeks, which actually isn't too bad if you use it for daily wipe downs. It works on counters, mirrors, and even in the tub. I did spill acrylic paint on my desk and it took a little bit of elbow grease, but it was able to get the paint off without ruining the wood. I also like to spray it in my garbage can after I throw away veggies or fruit scraps to make sure it doesn't smell." —Tasia Bass

Get it from Force Of Nature for $80.

    11. And a ThirdLove Kinetic Impact sports bra for your fitness routine. You can order your specific band size and cup size for the perfect fit, plus it's adjustable and wireless. You'll love wearing it for HIIT, running, strength training, and more workouts.

"It's not an exaggeration when I say I have been searching my ENTIRE LIFE for a sports bra that both fits well and offers optimal support. Since I have a 38DDD chest, I often have to size way up to get the cups to fit and then the band is way too loose so I end up falling out of the bottom anyways. This has been an especially big problem as of late because in January 2022 I became obsessed with super high-intensity dance cardio classes (at Forward Space in Soho, if you live in NYC, or you can also take their classes virtually!).

Since these classes involve athletic conditioning, dance, weights, and good ol' jumping jacks, I was often left holding my chest to ensure nothing popped out. That was until I found this baby!!!! Rather than sizes XS–XL, you can pick your band size and cup size! And both are adjustable like a regular bra — just sans underwire.

I ordered my usual size and was able to jump around, bend over, grapevine, and dance to Beyonce's latest album without having to adjust myself at all and that was truly life-changing. I also love that you can wear the straps regularly or criss-crossed since there are hooks. Following my first class wearing it, I immediately bought two more on my phone on the subway ride home." —Chelsea Stuart

Get it from ThirdLove for $148 (available in bra sizes 32B-44H and seven colors).
