Mexican painter Frida Kahlo is counted among the most influential and important artists of the 20th century.

Her poignant self-portaits and famed love affair with Mexican painter Diego Rivera are the stuff of legend, while her vibrant and colorful appearance has made her one of the most recognizable painters in art history.

Over 60 years after Frida's death in 1954, photographer Ishiuchi Miyako was granted access to her personal belongings to document her styles and fashions.
