Francis Ford Coppola, the patriarch of the Coppolas, won four Academy Awards for his work on both "The Godfather" and "The Godfather: Part II."

2. Francis Ford Coppola is Han Solo

George Lucas has said that Han Solo is based on his directing contemporary, Francis Ford Coppola. We're pretty sure that if Coppola had directed, Han would have shot first.

3. They make wine!

The Coppola family owns a winery in California which they bought using proceeds from the first "Godfather" movie. Wine was originally produced under the Niebaum-Coppola label, but has since been renamed Inglenook.

4. Rocky married a Coppola

Born Talia Rose Coppola, Talia Shire is the sister of Francis Ford Coppola and played Rocky's on-screen love interest Adrianna Pennino Balboa.

5. They make for a rather evil ex

Jason Schwartzman played Gideon Gordon Graves, one of Ramona's evil exes in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World." In reality Schwartzman is the son of Talia Shire, thus making him Francis' nephew.

7. Nicolas Cage is one

Nicolas Kim Coppola took on the last name Cage early on in his acting career to avoid the appearance of nepotism due to his famous director uncle, Francis Ford Coppola.

Nicolas Cage, Sofia Coppola and Francis Ford Coppola have all won Oscars. Francis' father, Carmine, has one too, making the Coppolas one of only two families to have Oscar winners across three generations.
