The streaming giant Netflix dropped a new series, Sex/Life, in the last week of June and it has taken the internet by storm.
In order to reinvigorate her mundane sex life she starts reminiscing about her former life and starts documenting her wildest sexual experiences in a journal, kind of a memoir.
Albeit the show has pulled in lots of viewers for Netflix, it has failed to please critics and common viewers (like IMDb users) as reflected in its 5.6/10 rating.
However, the show is based on the 2016 book 44 Chapters About 4 Men written by former school psychologist and self confessed "skank", BB Easton.
Like her onscreen counterpart, Easton embarked on writing the journal after feeling stranded in the quiet sea of her life as a suburban wife, mother of two, and school psychologist.
Easton wanted to relive the magic and thrill of her past carefree and wild sexcapades and she found a productive and provocative way to do this via journaling.
Easton thought of using her past wild experiences as a shaker to add spice to her married life. She used the journal as a bait and one day left it out in the open where her husband could easily get his hands on it.
Easton also has a word of caution for ladies facing the same predicament that she was facing once: Don't leave out your journals for your husband to find.
