It comes after dozens of Ethiopian Christians were executed by ISIS militants in Libya on Sunday.

The men who died at the hands of ISIS reportedly fled Ethiopia to Libya to attempt the perilous crossing of the Mediterranean sea to European shores, according to the Ethiopian News Agency.

The government declared two days of mourning. Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn said that even though Ethiopians are fleeing to escape poverty, smugglers are the ones to blame for convincing them to undertake "the death journey," AP reported.
