Brow me.
Expectations: First of all, I had no idea WTF an eyebrow stamp was. So after some intense googling — JK, I did like one search — I found photos of what these stamps actually look like and I immediately thought, This is going to go terribly...sign me up!
Verdict: I think the photo pretty much says it all, but clearly this stamp did not work for me — I look like an Angry Bird. Also, I really don't think it saved much time at all. If anything, it took longer than normal because I wanted to take my time "stamping" so it wasn't all crooked? I'd only try this again if the stamp itself could be smaller/fit my natural brow line better.
Expectations: I have really skinny and unruly brows. I've tried penciling them in and using my mascara brush to darken them up, but I mess up all the time, so it usually takes me a while to get my brows to look normal. This really sounds like an easy fix, so I'm hoping that it makes my brow routine nonexistent.
Verdict: I like the product in theory, but I definitely needed a darker shade. All it did was make my eyebrows look a bit more faded and ashy, but it's always hard to tell when you can't test the product before buying it. After this shoot, I tried another version at home that was a darker brown rather than this particular "dark brown," and it actually worked super well. You HAVE to blend it, but I think it's helpful for people like me who don't have a lot of shape to their eyebrows. I wouldn't try that color again, but the darker shade is something I would definitely use!
Expectations: You wouldn't guess it, but my eyebrows are blonde. I not only have to go get them tinted on the reg, but I also fill them in every morning. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from these stamp things, but I'm a bit skeptical about the premade shape of the stamp. Seems like there could be a lot of room for error.
Verdict: So, I don't think it was completely horrible. My eyebrow shape was actually pretty similar to this particular stamp, but the color of the powder was kinda weird. It had a *little* too much red tint in it for my taste. Overall, it seemed to just fill in my brows a bit more than normal. I don't think it would make my routine any quicker, especially since you still have to touch it up. I'd definitely try it again, but I don't think it is something I would do in my normal routine.
Expectations: Whether or not I ~do up~ my eyebrows depends on how lazy I'm feeling that day. One naturally sits higher than the other, so my typical routine involves using the NYX brow kit to even those babies out. I'm not 100% convinced that this "one-second brow stamp" will magically go on perfectly, but I'm here to try my best.
Verdict: I don't think the eyebrow shape it came with was a match made in heaven for my natural shape. It basically outlined my entire brows, which is not a great look for me. I didn't blend out as much as I should have, but even if I did, I think the color has too much red tones. In the end, I think custom-made stamp shapes for everyone's unique brows is the only way to really get "one-second brows" — otherwise you're doing the same amount of work to fill and blend.
