6.Jackson Rathbone got so into character that he asked Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz to hold him back. Kristen Stewart thought she was actually going to be attacked by him.
7.The director wanted to show that Edward can move at non-human speed, so in the scene where Bella and Edward are arguing in the truck, a double dressed as Edward is actually the one driving the truck, all while Pattinson is waiting off camera for his cue to come in.
8.A Wilhelm scream can be heard twice while Bella, Jacob, and Mike are watching Face Punch in the theatre. This is a famous sound effect that originated in cinema in 1951 and has appeared in hundreds of movies, including Star Wars and Django Unchained, to name a few.
9.Lautner hated his wig, and told MTV, "There was hatred between both of us. It did not like me, I did not like it. Not fond memories."
10.The director required all actors who auditioned for a role in the wolf pack to produce papers that proved their Native American heritage.
11.Production designer David Brisbin met the Quileute executive council prior to shooting and while there, a young Quileute girl gave David a drum she had made. David decided to prominently display this drum out of respect at the entrance of Emily's home.
12.Director Chris Weitz originally wanted Stewart to carry weights in her pockets to make her sink down during the drowning scene. Stewart was not comfortable with this, and in order to calm her nerves, Weitz tried it out for himself and realized it was actually terrifying, so he scrapped that idea quickly.
13.In New Moon, Nikki Reed wears a wig because her hair fell out from the extreme dyeing process in the first movie. It took them 36 hours to take her dark strands to platinum.
14.The movie's premiere took place on November 16, 2009, which also happened to be the night of a new moon in the lunar cycle.

16.The day Lautner finished filming the first Twilight, he flew back home and signed up for the gym and got a trainer. He had to put a lot of work in to prove he could fit Stephanie Meyers' description of Jacob by the time filming began.

20.Tish Monaghan, New Moon's costume designer, told InStyle that she "carefully color graded the shades of black on the characters in the chamber to show the ascent of power, with Jane [Dakota Fanning] and the other leaders being the darkest shade of all."
21.Michael Sheen, who plays Aro, knew nothing about Twilight before accepting the role in New Moon. He took the role to make his daughter happy because she was a huge fan of the Twilight series.
