If you're a TikTok addict like me, you might have already come across @makeupmetamorphos. Her incredible makeup character transformations have gone mega-viral, like when she perfected Elsa from Frozen:
Her real name is Lucy Cook, and she took some time to talk to BuzzFeed about how she creates these phenomenal and realistic looks.
"I've always been interested in makeup and face painting, but I started doing it properly once my eldest daughter was born," Cook told BuzzFeed. "I decided to take my makeup skills to social media last April when my youngest started preschool. My first few looks were illusion-style, and then I tried a character look and fell in love with makeup even more."
"My character looks can take anywhere from five hours to 10+ hours. The longest was Donkey (from Shrek), which took about 14 hours."
"Depending on the style of TikTok, it can definitely take a while — especially getting each shot perfect," she said. "I'm so overwhelmed (in a good way) from all the support and love I receive from my followers."
Cook has received millions of views on TikTok, for which she says she's "so grateful." She added that she's now able to do this full time as her career!
"I feel forever grateful that people can enjoy my art. I hope my work brings a smile to people's faces and that they're inspired to create something too, whatever that may be."
