    We asked our book community on Instagram to tell us which book they are highly anticipating next year. With so many releases to look forward to, here are some of the ones they are the most excited for!

    1. The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

    What it's about: Honestly, if you binged Only Murders in the Building, then this book sounds like it may be right up your alley. Jess arrives in Paris in need of a fresh start. She's visiting her brother Ben, but when she shows up to Ben's very nice apartment, he's not there. The longer Ben is missing, the more Jess digs for information. But his neighbor's aren't exactly forthcoming — or friendly. And the longer he stays missing, the more questions Jess has.

    What it's about: If you know Emily Henry, then you know she writes characters that (like herself) are also immersed in the world of books and writing. Book Lovers sounds like it's no different! Nora Stephens is a cutthroat literary agent whose life revolved around books. Charlie Lastra is a brooding editor. When Nora's sister insists on taking a trip to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina, where she wills Nora to find herself as the heroine in her own story. Instead, Nora finds Charlie. They've met before, and it hasn't been pleasant. But in this new environment, maybe they'd be willing to lower their walls.

    What it's about: This is the sequel in Maas's series, which follows Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar, who have saved Crescent City. The Asteri have left Bryce and Hunt alone, but the rebels slowly chip away at the Asteri's power. As the two get pulled into rebel plans, they realize that they must fight for what they believe in.

Working beneath exes who are constantly at each other's throats is not great, so Ari and Russell decide to team up to solve their bosses' relationship issues. But when their own meddling backfires, chemistry between the two begins to build.

    What it's about: There isn't much about this book online, but we do know it's the fourth book in the Blood and Ash series, which begins with From Blood and Ash. In this series opener, we follow a girl named Poppy, who lives life in a certain solitude as she waits for the day of her Ascension. But when a guard assigned to ensure her Ascension enters the picture, destiny and duty become tangled with desire and need. And if that wasn't complicated enough, a fallen kingdom is rising, determined to take back what they believe is theirs through violence and vengeance.

    7. Sisters of Night and Fog by Erika Robuck

    8. Disorientation by Elaine Chou

    What it's about: Ingrid Yang is a 29-year-old Taiwanese American PhD student who just wants to be done with her dissertation on the late canonical poet Xiao-Wen Chou. In the aftermath, Ingrid's reality is shifted, reevaluating her relationship to white men and white institutions — and herself. This debut novel has been praised as being both satirical and profound, but you'll have to wait a few more months until its release.

And with an ancient war brewing, the stakes are even higher.
