    What it's about: Honestly, if you binged Only Murders in the Building, then this book sounds like it may be right up your alley. Jess arrives in Paris in need of a fresh start. But his neighbor's aren't exactly forthcoming ‚ÄĒ or friendly. And the longer he stays missing, the more questions Jess has.¬†

When Nora's sister insists on taking a trip to Sunshine Falls, North Carolina, where she wills Nora to find herself as the heroine in her own story. Instead, Nora finds Charlie. They've met before, and it hasn't been pleasant. But in this new environment, maybe they'd be willing to lower their walls.

But when a guard assigned to ensure her Ascension enters the picture, destiny and duty become tangled with desire and need. And if that wasn't complicated enough, a fallen kingdom is rising, determined to take back what they believe is theirs through violence and vengeance.
