Sometimes I find myself imagining what in the world a storyline like Romeo and Juliet would look like in 2018. I mean, maybe something like this:
And to be honest, I'm in love with movies that are contemporary remakes of Shakespeare works, like She's the Man and 10 Things I Hate About You. Which is why I'm already intrigued by the limited series rendition of Romeo and Juliet on Instagram.
So here's what's happening. Paris and Rosaline will be delivering the tea via the @delightsandends IGTV Instagram account, where this retelling partially takes place.
The DRAMA will unfold via captions, comments, and stories over a few familiar character accounts, including our dear Romeo (aka, @hopeless.romeo)...
..and, of course, our sweet rose, Juliet (aka @juliet_bythebook).
And what would this story be without enemies? The Montague vs Capulet strife is alive and real in this series, and Tybalt (aka @queen_tybalt) is not playing around.
Then, of course, there is Romeo's BFF for life, Mercutio (aka @mercutie_yo), who has her back no matter what.
