Froot Loop Doughnuts Exist And They Taste Just Like Nostalgia

Attention good people of the internet, we are here today to tell you that Froot Loops doughnuts are a thing that exist now.

Beginning August 29th for a limited time, you can run to either Carl’s Jr. or Hardee’s to grab these colorful babies for only $1.99.

Here's what they look like IRL!

And because we love our cereal extra sweet, we tried them out for you.

Farrah thought they tasted like Froot Loops cereal with 100x more sugar dumped on top.

    Crystal Ro / BuzzFeed

Farrah: The container that they came in smelled EXACTLY like Froot Loops. The taste was fairly spot on, but it was like a sugar overload in my mouth. After one, I was DONE.

Crystal was immediately taken back to her childhood after trying one.

Crystal: Here’s the thing…I LOVE Froot Loops. So the moment I got a whiff of these doughnuts, I was instantly taken back to childhood. They smell and taste exactly like the real thing — in, like, baked good form — and my elementary-school self would’ve gobbled all of these down in like two seconds. But, as an adult who is constantly having teeth problems (don’t @ me, it’s genetic), I had to stop myself after one.

Pablo thought they were mini Froot Loops-flavored bundt cakes.

Pablo: While I usually stray from neon-colored foods, these were actually pretty tasty! So tasty that I ate three. I couldn't control myself...stop judging me! Froot Loops aren't exactly my favorite cereal, but these stray true to form and I'm all here for foods that never forget where they came from! If you're looking for a sugar rush and punch of nostalgia after inhaling a Western Bacon Cheeseburger, then these are for you.

If these had a slogan it’d be, “Follow your nose, it always knows…but then listen to your teeth.”
