You spend your time relaxing in tall seaweed and calm green water, where your green tail is necessary to keep you hidden. You're a friend to all and collect edible sea plants for your local mermaid community. Other mermaids see you as a valuable and involved community member.

Green

You spend your time in the deepest depths of the ocean where the water is black and dark and cold. There's no sunlight anyways, so color doesn't matter. Your tail absorbs the small bits of light and heat as you swim deeper and keeps you hidden. Other mermaids rarely see you, and you've become a bit of a legend.

Black

You love big sea storms and getting smashed around in 20 foot waves. Your tail looks like the stormy sky and also camouflages you in the water. Other mermaids look up to you for your bravery, strength, and resilience both physically and emotionally. Everyone goes to you for advice and occasionally swim coaching.

Blue-gray

You live in cold water and caverns with lots of silver fish and ice. Your tail doesn't draw attention in the arctic sea, but it's shiny and reflective like smooth ice. The other mermaids see you as elegant, graceful, and unique. You're the classiest mermaid around.

Silver

You live in shallow water with beautiful coral reef gardens. Your tail is colorful enough to match and reflects the energy you bring everywhere you go. Other mermaids love to be around you because you're sweet and empathetic, and you make everyone a little happier.

Purple

Your tail is red to reflect your fierce personality...and to camouflage the blood you spill on it. You're the one who defends your community from animals, intruders, and danger of all sorts. You can kill a Greenland shark with one stab or prepare your village for a rough storm. Despite your power, you never take revenge on someone who isn't a threat.
