In 2012, Finavia, which is in charge of the port, initiated the Airport CDM program (Collaborative Decision Making). This procedure aims to enhance collaboration between the partners operating within the airport. It provides lower costs, lower emission of hazardous substances to the environment, improved punctuality and passengers’ satisfaction. This is the 7th airport in the world that decided to enforce the Airport CDM program. The passengers can not only indulge in shopping, as it happens at most of the airports, but also visit an art gallery, aviation museum or go to a wonderful observation deck and simply watch airplanes landing or taking off. There are two terminals with a 300-meter-distance between them.
All the signage is provided in English, Finnish, Swedish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Russian. The passengers will also cherish amenities such as car rentals, restaurants, cafes, bars, currency exchange offices, smoking areas, playrooms for kids, rest areas, a hairdresser, drug store and a medical center.
