Sunflowers are a ray of hope! Besides your lovely yellow petals that follow the path of the sun, you clean and purify soil from flood toxins and have the ability to absorb (and store) chemicals found in the soil. Your fellow sunflowers have even been used in Japan to try to clean up radioactive isotopes from the environment. Best of all, radioactive materials don't adversely affect sunflowers even when stored in their system. AMAZING! You're not only fabulous but really hardcore, too!

Sunflower (Helianthus annuus)

You're a known metal hyper-accumulator (a bit like a hoarder, but you hoard trace metals found in soil). You're also rich in vitamins K, A, and C and very nutritious. But you're so much more than just a pretty face (bloom); ancient Romans believed in your powers of romance (which is why you were a main ingredient in love potions). However, always remember the kindness you now have in your youth because you tend to get more bitter as you age.

Indian Mustard (Brassica juncea)

Even if people usually consider you a pest (and a bit clingy), you're very good at removing lead from the soil. You're a native of north and south America and feel most at home in sandy zones with low humidity. Despite the fact that you're good at filtering soil, your pollen is the principal cause of hay fever. But we love you anyway.

Ragweed (of the genus Ambrosia)

You might be ignored (and underestimated) by many people who confuse you for average grass, but they don't know you're capable of so much – from remediating damage done by petrol hydrocarbons in the soil to processing traces of common agro-chemicals like it's nobody's business. When they want to burn and tear you down, remember you always grow stronger after a fire!

Indian Grass (Sorghastrum nutans)

You're a ~pop(u)lar~ choice when it comes to remediating soils because your roots absorb carbon tetrachloride among other toxic soil materials (like benzene). You process a lot of thinner which is a great help to the environment. Keep spreading that good vibe and keep changing your outfit with the seasons!

Poplar trees (Populus)

You're a medium-sized bush who loves mediterranean weather and lounging in limestone soil. You're extremely susceptible to cold weather, but don't worry; people love you because of your medicinal properties and ability to clean the soil. Your best friend is the kid in school who can't play sports because he has asthma. You're a good person that stands up and roots (*wink, wink*) for the little guy.

Albaida (Anthyllis cytisoides)

You thrive in toxic environments; no matter if there are bad vibes or toxic accumulations, you absorb them all to clean the environment! You add splashes of happiness everywhere you go with your bright, yellow flowers of happiness.
You're resourceful, and everyone know it as your oil can be used in the kitchen (back in the day, you were also used in oil lamps, which is cool). But people may take you for granted because you're too nice.

Canola (Brassica napus)

Apart from your exquisite flavor, you're a great accumulator of lead, and you actually purify soil. You're used as a domesticated grain with huge variety as well as being a staple food all over the cosmopolitan world. Also, you're the main ingredient of esquites (corn in a cup), and Mexico would basically be lost without you. You're tall but quiet and live most happily standing side by side with all your friends, brothers, and sisters.

Corn (Zea mays)

You're a fast-growing shrub that can appear in different colors and sizes. You're the source of castor oil which has many uses in traditional medicine. You thrive in the tropics, but cold weather isn't really your thing. You're considered the world's most poisonous common plant, but reports of poisoning are rare (and there's nothing common about you, boo). You also add nitrogen to the soil and remove cadmium and lead so thanks for that!

Castor bean (Ricinus Communis)

You're really cute 'n' fluffy. You also help the soil while adding beauty to the landscape. And despite your adorable appearance, you're pretty tough. You easily grow in dry, sandy, and even salty soil (but that doesn't always mean YOU are salty). You're able to deal with copper and are always close to the sea... your happy place with ocean waves.
