Jada Pinkett Smith, her mom, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, and her daughter, Willow Smith, have a Facebook show called Red Table Talk, and it is AH. MAY. ZIIIIIING!
In the most recent episode, "Body Confessions! Jada Tells All At The Table," Pinkett Smith revealed why she's been wearing head wraps as of late. "I haven't talked about it. It's not easy to talk about. But I am gonna talk about it," she said into the camera.
"I've been having issues with hair loss," the actress shared. She was in the shower one day when her hair started to come out by the handful. "And I was like 'Oh my god, am I going bald?'" She remembered being terrified and shaking with fear.
Banfield-Jones recalled when her daughter had "really thick, healthy, beautiful hair," and Pinkett Smith talked about how difficult it was to go from having the choice to wear your hair long or short to not having a choice at all.
The celeb said she eventually had to put things in a "spiritual perspective" and ask herself why she was afraid of losing hair. "The higher power takes so much from people." she said. "I watch the higher power take things every day. And by golly, if the higher power wants to take your hair — that's it?"
She said the outlook "settled" her when she thought about, "Well, what else would you lose? What else would you put on the table for God to take?"
The Girls Trip star went on to say she feels like a queen in her head wraps, and she showed her co-hosts different ways to tie them, including this wrap with hanging tails.
