    Pinky's Westside Grill

Located on the westside of Charlotte, Pinky's Westside Grill is owned by Greg Auten who also owned The Penguin before it closed. Both Pinky's and The Penguin are kind of legendary in Charlotte, and always bring in huge crowds. What is also interesting about Pinky's is according to the episode of Diners, Drive In's, and Dive's that Pinkys appeared on, the building used to be an old garage that worked on Volkswagens. This explains the architecture found on the roof of the building.

    Atmosphere

We used our navigation to find the place, but honestly it's hard to miss a place with a car on the roof. Walking into Pinky's it was a bit busy and we had to put our names on the list to be seated, but what would you expect from such a legendary restaurant. The server's all had an edgyness about them, tattoos, pink hair, it was pretty cool. At the front there's games, like arcade games, the claw, and of course the Diner's, Drive Ins, and Dive's poster staring at you from the corner. What I also thought was pretty cool was, it was kind of dimly lit but the lights seemed to have a pinkish glow... maybe because it's called "Pinky's?"

    Food

    Overall

Overall, I'd probably give Pinky's a 4/10 with my first experience. The atmosphere was very fun, but the food was not satisfying. I'd love to try it out again, with a completely different meal selection before I decide it's not the place for me though.
