“shawn” and “baloney” are the anglicized versions of these names. in this case it makes sense that baloney rhymes with pony but that shawn doesnt rhyme with bean, but it doesn’t make sense when you try to rhyme english words with words in their original languages.

i’m an english major. i’m saying that these words don’t have english origins and that’s why they don’t work with pony and bean. whether or not we use them as english speakers, they are names from different languages.
