OK, Let’s Get Real: What Type Of Fries Are Actually The Best?

Look, no judgments, but enjoy eating your wavy potato lumps. As we all know, crinkle-cut fries LOOK so promising, but as soon as you bite into one the error of your ways becomes apparent. Saggy, soggy, sad: That's what these are. (Maybe with enough ketchup you can pretend they're something actually good tho.)

Nope, you got a bag of saggy fries

This choice is understandable: The classic fries must be the best fries...right? Wrong. While classic fries are excellent for every occasion, they're not the fry you go for when you really want the best. Sorry, but try again.

Sorry, but you picked the safe choice

You must have a little bit of a wild streak to you, much like these fries. While we've all enjoyed our fair share of curly fries — who can resist the curl?! — they're not the top brass at the end of the day.

Close, but nah

Is poutine a gift to this Earth? Yes, but so are kittens and yet not ALL of the kittens are the very best kitten. There can only be one "Best Kitten." All other kittens, and fries, are just "Almost-Best."

Pouti-NO

THINK ABOUT IT, sheeple: Waffle fries are the perfect consistency of crisp but not too crisp, their little waffley edges will it to be so! Plus, you get like three bites for every waffle fry. AND, let's just be honest — their presentation alone makes this a win all around.

Yes, Waffle Fries ARE the best

You tried, you did, but this isn't the best set of fries in the land. Sure, they're different, and sweeter, and have that beautiful orange-red glow...but it just doesn't make the best fry cut.

Not the one, sweet potato fries

The instinct here is understandable: More fry means more fun. But in this case, more fry = more problems. That's because you end up with a little bit of fried goodness, and a massive amount of potato. It just isn't the best look.

No, bigger is NOT always better

Truffle fries are made for our mouths. In the contest for Best Fries, they come in second. Because while they are covered in the goodness that is anything truffle, they just don't hold a candle to the actual winner of this contest.

Sadly no

Look, we're only human, which means we've all prayed to the fast-food fry gods many times. But does that make them the CEO of fries? No, kind gentlefolk, it does not. Though I will continue to order these anytime I'm in the car. Or hungover. Or just whenever.
