This is where it all began. It follows the Harmon family as they move into a mysteriously cheap house in Los Angeles for a fresh start. However, the ghosts of this house's haunted past are far more than just figurative.

"Murder House"

This season follows the ambitious reporter, Lana Winters, as her investigation into Briarcliff asylum's newest and most nefarious patient — the serial killer, Bloody Face —   leads her down a dark path of madness. Get to know the dwellers of Briarcliff and descend deep into the bowels of evil incarnate.

"Asylum"

Set in modern-day New Orleans, this season follows the descendants of the Salem witches as they struggle to keep their coven afloat despite their Supreme — the notorious, all-powerful Fiona Goode — being a self-serving and egotistical tyrant. Watch as a group of fledging witches discover their powers, fight to stay alive, and search desperately for the next Supreme. Oh, and Stevie Nicks makes a guest appearance, so it's well worth a watch.

"Coven"

This season follows one of the last remaining freak shows in the United States as they fight to stay afloat in a world that shuns them. There's also a murderous clown named Twisty and a psychopathic man-child named Dandy. It's by no means the best season, but it definitely has notable parts.

"Freak Show"

Set in modern-day Los Angeles, this season details the mysterious events that take place at the Hotel Cortez. Lady Gaga makes her iconic series debut as the blood-lusting Countess. There's also an investigation into the Ten Commandments Killer whose murders have been tied to the hotel. One things for certain — you won't want to make a reservation anytime soon.

This series about a series/mockumentary season follows the supernatural events that occurred in a renovated farmhouse in North Carolina. The twist? The house is situated on the land where the inhabitants of the Roanoke Colony infamously disappeared. This season's fresh approach to the usual "AHS" story makes it well worth a watch!

"Roanoke"

In the near future, the Antichrist brings about the apocalypse through nuclear warfare. The chosen survivors seek refuge in a fallout shelter, and it's soon revealed that all is not as it seems. Some old friends from seasons past return to try and save humanity from the Antichrist's hateful grasp.

"Apocalypse"

Set in the titular year, 1984, this season follows Brooke Thompson as she travels to a remote, newly-reopened summer camp to work as a counselor following a terrifying encounter with serial killer, Richard Ramirez. Not long after she and the gang settle into their first week at Camp Redwood, news breaks that a deranged murderer with a taste for Camp Redwood blood has escaped a local insane asylum and is presumed to be heading for the camp.

"1984"

Following the public divide after the results of the 2016 election, a cult is formed and terrorizes the neighborhood dressed as clowns. It shows the cult leader, Kai, as he easily rises to power using fear tactics and manipulation. If this season wasn't spooky enough with its real-life parallels, the most infamous cults are brought back to life for just one more historical retelling.
