There is no single entity that has ridden the political roller coaster than former Senator Scott Brown. His election to the Senate was bolstered by a Tea Party movement that wanted to see a Republican in the late Senator Edward M. (Ted) Kennedy's seat and ironically his defeat came on the heels of a country fed up with the Tea Party's influence on the Republican Party.
Scott Brown's special election and victory in January of 2010 served as a catalyst for being a cold and sober awakening for the Obama reelection efforts. Senator Scott Brown's chances for winning a full term race were slim in the staunchly Democratic state, but there were times when he even out polled President Obama's in the Bay State. His voter appeal is undeniable.
Political analysts are speculating that Brown is eyeing the Governorship job in Massachusetts, which has been more successful for Republican candidates in the past. His willingness to buck his political party on key issues like voting for the Democratic Reform Bill, voting against the Paul Ryan budget bill and voting against sweeping changes on Medicare will definitely give him a tremendous boost.
