Marvel Studios has gone from a little known studio to a hollywood heavyweight that is responsible for so many successful recent movies, the regeneration of the superhero obsession, and expanding budgets for movies that give way to the phrase "Too big to fail".
Castinghub actually did a video talking about all of the superhero storylines that are popping up everywhere
and what they said was pretty much perfectly describing the situation in the entertainment business. Marvel is in no small part, responsible for this situation. Their recent success has now spurred other movie studios to take advantage of the great comic book stories. Movie makers are trying to expand the world of DC comics by introducing a slew of new villains into the reboot in order to expand their universe, the way Marvel has.
Marvel and even dipped into the television show business with it's new show "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" on ABC and also in Netflix. Only time will tell if other television shows will follow the same idea. One of the reasons for Marvel's great success is because they have one continual and linear marketing plan for expanding their brand. So far, no one else has been able execute this same marketing idea.
