    200 Years

It’s been 200 years since Jane Austen has published “Pride and Prejudice”. Let that marinate in your mind for a second.

    ….Are you back? Good.

Like many others I fell in love with Jane Austen's novel and can honestly say that while "Pride and Prejudice" is probably considered my favorite (along with the rest of the world) I loved all of Austen's heroines. Austen was so ahead of her time as a women writing such amazing books about love and secretly mocking the strict victorian society. There have been generations of people raised on these stories (especially if their mothers were fans).

I grew up watching the BBC classics and later reading the source material. It still astonishes me that even after all this time, people can still love and relate to these stories. Haven't we all faced a Mr. Collins or a Miss Bingley at least once in our lives? Haven't we all seen someone settle with what they had the way Charlotte Lucas did or refuse to the way that Elizabeth Bennet showed. I am sure that 200 years later, people will still be talking about these classic love stories.
