Combining cereals is THE ONLY WAY. Cereal purists, get outta here.
For many people who were allowed only healthy cereal choices as kids, mixing cereals represented a chance to break free from the shackles of breakfast monotony and embrace textural contrast early in life.
To bring some diversity — in the form of snap, crackle, and pop — to an otherwise plain bowl of Cheerios.
But even as we get older, the potential to help our cereals work together reminds us that they can become something greater than the sum of their parts.
And now that we are ADULTS, we can do whatever whatever we want.
Case in point: This is a God-tier cereal combination. You start with a base of chocolate, which is great, but adding peanut butter accents takes it to another level. And then the REESE'S PUFFS ARE FLOATING IN SUGARY CHOCOLATE MILK and it's time to freak out.
But being an adult means making responsible decisions too, sometimes.
Cereal combinations are glorious because they don't have to be indulgent to transcend.
Custom tagline: FOR YOUR GUTS.
For example: Corn Flakes add a surprising amount of sweetness to the heartier Grape-Nuts, and the Grape-Nuts add some much needed crunch to the quickly soggy Corn Flakes.
Here the dense powerhouse of Frosted Mini-Wheats has a chance to support its delicate-but-delicious cornflake sisters and brothers.
(And let's not pretend that sometimes, this isn't just about sneaking in a little more sugar. That's fine.)
But it can also be so much more.
Discovery.
Friendship.
Progress.
