47 Small Problem Solvers You’ll Never Unpack From Your Bag

This "Clean Ball" picks up all the debris and crumbs out of the bottom of your bag so you'll never have to clean out the bottom again.

    1. A set of Sea Bands, which target an acupuncture point on your wrists meant to help reduce nausea. Basically, if you're someone who has motion sickness, morning sickness, migraine nausea, or even nausea brought on by cramps, this may the be thing to take you from 🥴to 😊.

Promising review: "These were awesome! My entire family suffers from motion sickness, especially car sickness. My little one gets sick in the car on a regular car ride through the city. So I knew that a long road trip was going to be a disaster. I was amazed at how well these bands worked for everyone! Not one single person complained about being sick for 12 hours in the car. At one point I did have one child remove their bands because they said they were getting too tight. But after only a few minutes without them, a headache started to come on, so they immediately put them back on and the relief was instant. I have suffered for decades and now I know better. I will never travel without mine again!" —1SmartCookie

Promising review: "This little ball is genius!! Rolls around in my purse, which I live out of. It picks up a lot lint, debris or even crumbs. Easy to find with the bright pink. Just remove and wash and it’s ready to go again. The price was great and something I can use for years. If you live out of your purse this a must have!!" —dj3biggs

    3. A set of handy reviewer-beloved reusable grocery bags — you can fold them up all itty bitty to easily slide into your bags or coat pockets so you'll always be ready for a surprise grocery shop when you're on the move and someone just texts you the lone word, "Milk??"

Each of these is waterproof, durable, and built to hold 50+ pounds of groceries, replacing two or three regular-sized grocery bags apiece.

    4. A set of affordable, ridiculously popular wireless Bluetooth earbuds that make *excellent* AirPod dupes, except arguably better — these are completely waterproof (like, you can fully take them in the shower) and come with several silicone earbuds to get the best fit possible, so when you're running all over the place you can count on them to endure your nonsense.

These come with a wireless charging case that provides up to 14 hours of charge (with the earbuds able to play for four-plus hours with each full charge).

Promising review: "Great sound quality. Probably one of my most favorite purchases I have made. I enjoy passing an earbud to my kids and letting them talk to grandma or just hear the music or book I’m listening to. Worth every penny! These are very easy to set up. Definitely waterproof. Sweating during a workout has never been a problem like I had with previous sets from other companies. FYI, I have a job where we use water constantly. I have put these in my ears and rinsed my head, accidentally put them through the washer and at a different time, dropped them in water! They still work fantastic! The distance ranges with each device. My phone is about 30 to 50 feet while my computer is closer to 100 feet. I wish the battery life was longer than 4 hours. I have opted to one ear bud at a time, extending my listening ability and allowing myself to hear more around me. Not much though! I cannot hear much once these are in my ears. Noise cancellation works so well I use these to drown out my husband's snoring! Getting another pair as a gift." —CAMI

    Rebecca O'Connell / BuzzFeed

This works on mosquitoes, bees, wasps, biting flies, sea lice, and more (although TBH, if this list of bugs gets any longer I may just stay indoors forever!!).

Promising review: "I bought this because I saw it on TikTok, and have been having issues with mosquito bites. Used it a few time to relieve itchiness and I am convinced it works! Have been recommending it to my family and friends.  Read the directions and follow them carefully. Don't use this on your face or neck, or other sensitive areas. Don't do a lot of suction, just a little bit. And do it a few times if needed. Great invention!" —Joe

    6. An iced coffee holder so you can carry your favorite cold beverage *and* answer work emails *and* text your friends pictures of cute dogs at the same! time!!! Reviewers also love this for keeping the cold condensation off their hands.

Psst — I own one of these myself, and love it for the convenience of texting on the go! And also the convenience I am experiencing in the above photo, in which I am in fact double fisting hot chocolate and tea like a boss. These even have a holder for a straw if you happen to get iced coffee or bubble tea and don't want to stick the straw into the drink just yet. I've found this to be very sturdy and easy to use, plus they're a fun conversation starter — people always want to know where I got it!

Promising review: "These are awesome! Arrived very fast, great quality, sturdy and strong fabric, and they work well! They hold large and medium Dunkin' Donuts coffees perfectly! Just right for going for a walk, playing Pokémon Go, or getting in/out of the car with your drink. Now easier than ever to multitask and stay caffeinated!" —Marian

Promising review: "What can I say, I saw a TikTok about this lipstick and for $10 had to try it! The reviews are right, for some reason this lipstick is better than even $20 name brand ones bought from Ulta. Not only does it smell great, but dries in under a minute and survived eating a cupcake, a Starbucks drink, and an entire evening out, no smudging and had to be removed with a makeup wipe. Promising review: "This little gem is amazing! This year we were fortunate enough to do some local traveling and attend quite a few concerts. I take a ton of videos and pictures, often draining the battery. This power-packed product charged not only my phone when it was low, but my boyfriend’s AND the girl next to her!! Since you can only take small bags into venues, this slipped right into the pocket behind my phone! We had numerous comments on it bc of the little paw charge indicator. The flashing came in handy a few times when we found ourselves in the dark! I will be buying more and giving them as gifts this year!" —Annetastic

    11. A popular streak-free anti-fog spray you can quickly apply to eyeglasses, sunglasses, and face shields to prevent them from fogging up in the humidity outdoors, or while you're wearing a face mask.

reviewer holding up glasses next to bottle of fog gone
Reviewer holding up bottle of spray with unfogged glasses and face mask on

A heads up that this works *super* well for some reviewers, but not all — note that this is meant for non antireflective-coated lenses, and the instructions for use are very specific. To apply, spray a small amount on both sides of your lenses, and use your fingers to rub it across the whole area. Let it sit for a full minute, then wipe with a dry soft cloth. Once they're fully dry, you should be raring to go!

Promising review: "If you have been looking for a solution to your glasses fogging up when you are wearing a mask: you are here. I have been using this now for over eight months. The anti-fog coating will last most of the day. And this is going from air-conditioned car to 80 degrees plus humid weather in south Georgia. I put in longevity as one of my ratings because it’s a nice size bottle and only a little dab will do yah. Small business, made in America, and I even got a letter in the mail asking if everything was good. So if you wear glasses and a mask and have troubles click buy. With confidence." —Merrill Guice

Get it from Amazon for $9.55+ (available in two sizes).

    12. A mini umbrella that a lot of city dwellers swear by, because it's lightweight and folds up so teensy weensy that it barely takes up space in a bag or purse. It's also windproof and holds up in the rain, despite being so small when it's put away!

Promising review: "This is a great quality umbrella. It's super affordable, lightweight, and comes in several colors as well! All the other ones I found on Amazon were $15 and up. I'm super glad I found this product, as it's been raining a lot here recently and I found myself without an umbrella." —Krissy D.

    13. A pack of NeuroGum made with a blend of caffeine and nootropics, designed to give you energy five times faster than regular coffee — without jitters or sluggishness afterward. All of the zing you need to keep your focus, with none of the crash (or 15 mid-afternoon trips to the bathroom!!).

    Kayla Suazo/BuzzFeed

Here's what former BuzzFeeder Kayla Suazo had to say: "It’s literally gum with 40 milligrams of caffeine (about half the amount of caffeine in an average cup of coffee), so it’s great to chew throughout the afternoon without having to worry about it keeping you up at night. It also has 60 milligrams of L-theanine, which is the main amino acid in green tea, so you get a natural energy boost without all the sugars that you’d find in energy drinks. THIS MEANS NO JITTERS. NO CRASHING. Just a good ole boost of energy. I was skeptical about this gum at first. I thought there was no way gum could wake me from my afternoon lull and increase my attention so I could get more work done. Guys, I was wrong. This stuff works, and works well. I even gave some to my coworkers, who said they noticed a difference immediately after chewing it. Around 2 p.m., I pop a piece in (I looove the cinnamon flavor) and I have an instant energy boost. It’s magic. There are nine pieces in a pack and I chew about one a day, so an entire box lasts me a month — which isn’t bad considering that it literally gives me life every single day. It's gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, vegan, and non-GMO, and I think it's a way better option than energy drinks."

You can read BuzzFeed's full review of NeuroGum for more deets!

    15. A set of reusable silicone straws with cleverly designed horizontal snap closures for easy cleanup, so you can go from guzzling your morning iced coffee to downing your afternoon peanut butter smoothie with ~ease~.

Promising review: "I never thought I’d be writing a review for straws, but here we are. These are FANTASTIC. I try to be as eco-friendly as possible but was ready to give up. I’ve tried metal straws, but they are tough to clean and I don’t love metal against my teeth. I’ve tried other reusable plastic and silicone options but they don’t work for thicker drinks like smoothies. These actually address all of my issues. I’ve used them for thick smoothies, that I drink daily, and just for other everyday drinks like water. They couldn’t be easier to snap open and clean, dry, then easily snap back into shape to use again." —M. Alexandria

At a recent black-tie event, I hid these flats in my clutch. About 45 minutes in, I kicked the heels off my aching feet and put these on. I never took them off. Other women were jealous. I should have taken a photo! LOL!" —Phyllis

Promising review: "These were a lifesaver. I was walking to the bus and decided it was a great decision to drink coffee while walking. Like a scene from an infomercial, I spilled coffee all over my white shirt. Yes, the classic coffee on the white shirt. Luckily I had one of these in my bag (I put one in each of my most-used purses in anticipation of my clumsiness). I went into a store bathroom and quickly scrubbed the Tide To-Go on my shirt. All of the coffee blobs went away and once the awkward wet splotches dried up, my shirt was perfectly white again. You've got yourself a big fan, Tide." —NAD

    19. A Geekey multitool, which looks impressive at first glance, but functions as *deep breath* a coring tip, serrated edge, can opener, wire stripper, smoking pipe, file, imperial and metric ruler, protractor, bottle opener, multi-head fit driver, lanyard hole, bike spoke key, screw driver tip, wrench, *and* bit driver all at once. Basically, the great outdoors has nothing on you now.

Promising review: "The coolest multi tool I’ve seen yet. Received as a gift and have now given this to MANY friends and family, and they are now giving it as gifts. I find I use this daily for small household chores but also on my weekend warrior trips for camping, drinks, etc. DO NOT buy the knockoffs, quality and functionality differ GREATLY." —Kerri

Note: this doesn't come with Sriracha in it, you have to fill it yourself at home! Folks also use it for hand sanitizers and moisturizers, which is confusing to my poor brain, but apparently the leakproof quality of it is *that* good.

Promising review: "So far it's fantastic. I take my lunch to work and these are a great size to fit in my backpack without taking up space. I use one for regular Sriracha, and one Sriracha Tobasco. So far I'd definitely recommend this product, and I don't usually write product reviews." —Evan S.

    22. Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer, an inexpensive lightweight concealer for anyone who wants to quickly touch up while errand running but doesn't want to commit to a whole layer of foundation. This also helps cover dark circles without caking and reduce puffiness.

    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

TBH, last year I started using this myself (although this is former BuzzFeeder Kayla Suazo's lovely human face above), and I am mad that I wasted time with other concealers for so long. I am a deeply impatient person who likes to look good and does not like to put in effort in any way, shape, or form, and Maybelline created this so that people like me could gracelessly slap it on in the morning and be like "OK, REFLECTION, YOU GOT THIS" before being on their merry way. It never cakes, I look way more awake than I have any right to, and I never struggle to blend it the way I do with other concealers. 11/10 subscribe.

Promising review: "This is my all-time favorite concealer. It goes on creamy, covers under-eye circles without looking chalky. I hope they never stop making it." —YVonneM

Model holding vaccine sleeve with resealable top
    Amazon

Promising review: "Perfect for safeguarding the CDC COVID-19 Vaccine card. Just HATE that the CDC didn’t produce wallet-sized cards to begin with. The plastic and the zip lock are sturdy and can be attached to a lanyard. It’s definitely sized correctly for the CDC card. I pass these out to family and friends when they get their dose of vaccine. It’s necessary to protect the low quality cards with your vaccine batch number stickers." —B.

The scent was great and long lasting. It worked WAY better than using a cover-up bathroom spray like Glade. I’ve since bought a few bottles of the lavender vanilla scent (which I like even more). If you haven’t ever tried Poo-Pourri, you’re missing out and should buy it now!" —reachforthestars

Once it's in the glass, swirl lightly for 20 seconds, and you should be raring to go!

Promising review: "I can finally drink wine again after years of abstinence! I've only had them a couple of weeks but I drank red and white wine totally headache-free! I even drank half a bottle of heavy red. These drops really are magic! I love that you get two bottles as well, one can stay in your purse and one at home. Brilliant!" —shelleymab

A model rubbing balm on their heel
    Amazon

Promising review: "Do your feet a kindness and buy this now!! Stop suffering from hotspots and blisters!! The first time using my new hiking boots on the trail ended up with me hobbling back to the car due to the painful blisters new boots create. I know, I should have broken them in, but I didn't. I was excited to get back out on the trail with my new boots but hesitant with fear of more blisters. I did my research on how to break on boots, what the best socks are for hiking, how to treat blisters and most importantly, how to prevent them. Although I trusted the reviews of Foot Glide enough to order it, I was still skeptical putting on my brand new boots and hitting the trail. Welp, I'm happy to report, this stuff is LEGIT! Applied it to my heel and pinky toe area, both areas that were so painful on the last hike. There isn't a scent and it's not greasy, could barely tell I had put something on my skin. I tested it out on the same trail and felt no pain. Not even a hot spot!! This is now a staple in my hiking gear and will apply it before every trip." —Dacia Rae

Promising review: "I have very very fine and fragile hair. It’s wavy (2b to 2c with some 3a curls mixed in). My ends are dry and my scalp gets very oily quickly. When the product arrived I was on second-day hair. I worked the foam through my roots and the sides on my head. The most oily places for me. It was easy to work through and it smells so fresh and clean. My results were amazing! My roots looked clean, no residue or buildup like powder dry shampoos. My scalp does not itch and it gives my fine, flat hair a ton of volume. Also, my hair looks thicker when I use it. I usually can’t go more than a day or two without washing my hair. With this product I was able to go four days without washing my hair." —Amelia Tilton
